Autosol on metal work, then Vaseline or Sewing Machine / Clipper oil on machine head and bridge threads... Micro fiber cloths 'n cotton buds... and a tin of that spray air duster....

  10. Pick to KEEP or Pick to SELL? Keep the Aero...
  11. Lookout for a second hand Pre on here... I'd stay passive and just upgrade the pickups, again secondhand on here... Anything wrong with the bridge 'n tuners a clean n lube with a dab of vaseline on the threads 'n worms wont fix? As for a refin n reshape... lot of money if not doing it yourself... for no real gain... But hey...
  12. ...sorry for the inconveniance, and I'll put a set of saddles and associated screws in the post... thankyou for your custom... Would be what i would of expected... I'd be sending em an email back with a link to this thread... Sh!t-Show... Ya get better service from the budget likes of Harley Benton...
  13. From The Inside - Alice Cooper... Bass by Dee Murray from Elton John's band at the time... with the odd bit on snap 'n slap... which i'm not usually a fan off
  14. Any glue resudue may stop any further stain or oiling coverinf priperly, and might highlight the area even more, or requier even more sanding and staining...Maybe go with what ya got?...
  15. Order some from Spalding Fastners of the bay... A2 stainless so the new ones dont rust...Hex Head Grub Screws 3mm me thinks...go for Dog Point... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOG-POINT-A2-STAINLESS-STEEL-METRIC-SOCKET-ALLEN-GRUB-SCREWS-M3-M4-M5-M6-/293221192240?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Intonation screw may be 4mm... or do they fit all the holes only a couple of quid delivered... ive had 3 lots from them to replace saddle screws in cheapy bridges. Soak the oks saddles in plus gas or WD40 for a bit...
  16. I find the Yams 'Fugly'.. Ibby SR 'worn pebble'... nice...

  18. NO... I Evilbayed and bought a cheapy £42 Epi LP for me last week... and got an £8 set of Olympia 10-48 Flatwounds for it, Sorted for £50... but not allowed it till Xmas... more to follow when its all sorted.
  19. Been NAGD... Evilbay strikes again... A jaunt round the '25 a bit to collect a cheapy Gear4Music Ovation-a-like elctro-acostic bowlback in a lovely Matt Burgandy Burst for my eldest Christmas pressie. Very similar/same as the Harley B's so should keep my Acoustic Bass company! Real nice fit 'n finish and well setup... Impressed for a budget £100 guitar... As New @ £35! Bargain...
  20. If the front comes out anything like the back... Nice... Me? Satin... Watching with interest... My Epi.. Had the pickguard off, got some cheap flat metal pickup surrounds from the bay £3 as the epi is flat body flat neck and doesnt need the slanted surrounds... flat met truss rod cover £2... got a bit of wood for the trem cavity to block the bridge, ans leave the 3 springs in for the 'Angels Voices'... was looking at the Telecaster Humbucker all-in-one bridge... but the measurements are out, between the pickup and bridge bits presumably scale length Gibo 24 3/4 to Fend 25 1/2... so just the minor mods n plat it, Humbuckers 650 n 700 are meant to be US voiced and great, anything else is gonna be more than a quarter of the purchase cost...
  21. Nice... I picked up some cheap Epi Goodness... £42 from EvilBay... but not allowed to faff n fixup as 'It's for Christmass...' got a set of Olympia 10-48 Flatwounds for it, £8 from EvilBay... so £50 All-In...
  22. Just a shout for Spaldings Fasteners... found em on the bay... I've had 3 sets of Bridge Screws from them, Dog Point for less scratch... bargain and quick delivery... something like £2 posted... ideal to swap for over long or rusty adjusters...
