Tuner (Mute) > Compressor (Regulate) > Pre (EQ and Shape) > Overdrive (Extra Push)... i would imagine would be the normal. But try the Compressor after the Drive can give a different 'cut' to the notes... Similarly Drive in front of a Pre can push a change in dynamic and tone texture... but these may be more a one-off type use thing. Same as placing a delay, often at the end, repeats are the same... Delay before say Modulation, Chorus, Phaser or Flanger... means the repeats 'move'... EDIT: Good point on the above in regard to DI... and / or an amp.

There are quite a few neck off pics and the pb50 doesnt look square heeled so i think it would be a yes... Swapping P for P... 'Only one way to find out... SWAP!' Whats annoying is some of the latter P50s have a hole under the scratchplate to help with the wire routing... meaning it cant be a 'scratchplate off'

Get the over head cupboards as well if they are in the skip... with a strip lamp on the underside of the cabinets. I left the doors of as there is never enough room to open them... especially the bottom ones by your legs... 4 way trailed to below the worktop means you can plug things in without trailing leads on the worktop, leave them plugged and turn off the 4 way at the plug.

Workbenches in my garage have always been X-kitchen Cabinets... so cabinet height 800-850 and 600-650 depth. Length 1400-1800 or what covers 2 cabinets or a large and a small with a bit oc stool / feet under room, or whatever the long bit of worktop i can find is... Just keep ya eyes open for someone local having a kitchen done in the new year...

There was a post some time back about bridge positioning with a few pics and description of the bridge plate being mounted a little more forward... thus the saddles being a little further back, positioned more central. When was the Ashtray introduced? Maybe the bridge was moved forward a little to allow for the Ashtray mounting? But yes string guage choice, and neck relief and action preference may all effect the intonation and thus saddle position a little.

Honesly... I'd go for a Good Clean, Fretboard, Frets and Hardware all with some 0000 Wire Wool, A new set of budget strings, Olympia? And play it as it is... Any Do-ing is likely to cost more than an old Encore is worth... Put any monies towards something like a Harley Benton or Squier Affinity...

Date of Purchase... unless for Guarantee, then its Date of Delivery... Somethings have to work in your favour...
