  1. Howzabout getting some plain style sealed look covers from the bay for £4 the Pair... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-String-Guitar-Parts-Sealed-Pickup-Covers-2x-for-JB-Style-Guitar-Instrument-/255184357305?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Then it will no longer look odd to your eye
  2. Thanks again all... Adagio Flats on the P-Bitz... Gonna Start with Adagio Rounds on the J-Bitz when it happens.
  3. Yep... leaving a bit of room... Robbo sounded busy, The twin guitars of Phil n Wurzel flooded the sound a bit live... and Phil on his own was still full
  4. I think that looks a nice neat subtle job... and better apperance to the bar in an earlier pic... Do they do a metaflake, or white underneath if you want something more sparkaly? Got a fuller pic rather than close up?

  6. Just loosen the strings and... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2Pcs-Guitar-String-Spreaders-Luthier-Care-Tool-Kit-for-Cleaning-Fretboard-/254801956751?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  7. Just got an email... CEX can't locate the item... and cancelled the order... I'll keep looking
  8. Snortin' Whisky (Drinkin' Cocaine) - Pat Travers - [now there's a tune!..]
  9. Or just 'D80ed... as in 'Dated'
  10. Love the volute... As for annoyance... sometimes if just makes you think different and end up finding uniqueness. Have you considered a simple (looking, not making!) plug for the truss rod hole... interferance fit, with a side-on volute-esq shape protuding tip for finger and thumb removal? maybe out the same wood as the fretboard or neck, or fashioned out of dowel, might make things simpler?
  11. Think it will notice a whole load less, If at all when the strings are over it, especialy as they are the thicker ones... A TRC to cover would be HUGE! I'd go with leaving as-is till strung...
  12. Hedachi Breaky Heart - Billy Bob Virus
  13. I like that....Jazz-Strat-Attack! Ibby Micro Neck @ 28.6"? BOOM!
  14. Fair amount of love for the Sennheiser HD206 on here (Poss a replacement for the 201) Use mine with my Zoom B1on and also my MP3 player... 3m lead lots of room, can work from the floor when standing. Thread a few months back...
  15. Looks like it would be playable sitting down, If its just a Nut-Job to sort you could always put it back and pass on if or when a lefty appears. Each to there own and all that... 'Warwick Winkle' shape is not my cup of tea... I'm more a plain Ibby SR fan then P then Jazz.
  16. Presume your 'Left Wing' then? Depends... a Jazz spun over would have all the bumps in all the wrong places!.. and don't think a Rick would work. P-ish would be OK ala Jimmi's Strat, and a lot of the 80s Westone, Arai Ibanez twin cuts are quite symetrical-ish... and even more so with something EB SGish... Flying V!.. Single Cuts would look more on the wonk than a Jazz... Then again Wonky Jazz could be the next big thing! Whats on ya mind?
  17. Thats good news... Twas New Last year... from Palicomp Purchased mainly as a gaming PC so mid-spec-ish...
  18. The above couple are over my budget for just giving it a go so went with the M-Audio KeyRig49 / Abelton Lite. Is he gonna need a seperate soundcard or will it work with the motherboard and headphones...
  19. Thanks again all... Damn Amazon... I think it should be 80ish not 180ish LOL! I think it comes with Abelton Lite... and some KeyRig synth stuff... Gonna be a fun 2 week end of term break!
  20. I have just found that this is 1.8m / 6' long! Will have to rethink and go for a 35 mini key version...
  21. No iPad... It will be PC... Thanks for your help. I've orderd the KeyRig49. I might be back... more than likely!
  22. Thanks... I'll get this, then look for some hopefully freebie software... It's his first try at this sort of thing, doesnt actually play piano as such, but i want to encourage albeit on a budget!
  23. @Bridgehouse Google has found a Refurb M-Audio KeyRig 49 Key USB for £25 + £2 postage (24 months waranty)... Twas looking at the Akai but my Son mentioned mord keys and normal size, so was thinking Nektar SE49 Is this an earlier version of the keystattion? Should i go for this as toe-in-the-water? Cheers
