1. I'm certainly interested to see what you come up with Alex. Best of luck.
2. Good luck finding the cause of your temporary loss of output.
3. Looks good to me. Great work.
4. Oo, looking forward to seeing how this goes.
5. Just wondering whether you could perform the gigs with slightly different lineups depending on who is available?
6. Sounds like a lot of fun. Good luck with finding the perfect sounds.
7. Great stuff. Looking forward to seeing how this goes.
8. Amazing work. I've really enjoyed watching this develop. Thanks for sharing.
9. Interesting. After hearing so much about ampeg stacks I finally got a chance to use one at a gig this weekend. I've been playing about 10 years but have never come across one before. Initially I found it a little indistinct and not my thing at all. Bit of tweaking and it produced a nicer sound but still, not my thing. Bit of a relief, there's no way I could logistically use one regularly. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to spend a bit longer with one.
10. Crikey, that escalated from my original post. Glad it stimulated debate. I'll have a good time reading through all this. Thanks everyone.
11. Hi all, I promise I have done a search of the site before asking this possibly stupid question. Looking for guidance please from the great and wise BC hive mind. I mostly play multi-band gigs and the sound techs sometimes ask that I put a DI box in my signal chain before my amp. I believe that this keeps things simple and quick for them which is understandable. However, I use a 2 channel amp (GK MB500) for clean and dirty sounds so this doesn't really work for me. I really don't want to cause the techs any difficulties so I suppose I have 2 options (unless anyone has other ideas), either: 1) move away from using the channels in my amp and use a preamp/drive pedal for my 2 main sounds. 2) give the sound engineer a signal after my amp into their DI box. The output options other than DI on the GK MB500 are Line Out, FX Loop Send and Tuner Out. Would any of these be suitable to go into a DI box geared up to accept instrument level signals (from the bass players in other bands)? Any ideas or thoughts?
12. Wonderful to watch this progress.
13. Yes, I write songs on bass and vocals before they get introduced to the band so can play and sing my own songs without anyone else. What area finds me lacking? Remembering songs that I didn't write. I envy people who have a large catalogue of songs in their memory bank.
14. https://youtu.be/Ca2ioOapKsQ Hello, I'm Johnny Cash.
15. I mostly play multi band gigs and yes, I'll watch all the other bands. Firstly, more enthusiastic people in the room makes the evening more fun for everyone (unless it's absolutely packed but...) Secondly, I think it's polite and supportive. A lot of work and sometimes courage goes into getting a band on stage. Thirdly, watching other bands sometimes gives me ideas on areas that we could improve on.

I really like the shaping of the upper horn, it shows off the layers really nicely.

Cheap bass flyrig?

Interested in hearing what people think of this.
18.
Tool kit. Screwdrivers, plyers, etc. I have them in my gig bag, and use them at home on my gear, but can't remember the last time they saved my bacon on a gig. I'll be ready though.
Yep, same here. Also, slightly off topic- I'm thinking more and more that an amp and cab set up is over the top.
19. This sounds really interesting. Good luck.
20.
Rock covers gig. We got told to turn down. I've still got it
Ha!
21. As usual. Great fun to watch you work. Thanks for sharing.
22. Welcome. 4x12 cab for bedroom playing!
