  1. A joint record for today at 14 years. 😆
  2. I think the OP has probably figured it out out by now or doesn't care any more. It's a 14 year old post and the poster hasn't been on the forum in over a year.
  3. Congratulations on the greatest resurrection since Jesus.
  4. My most disappoint purchase of all time was a Big Muff. I was gutted when I ordered one and a bass pedal turned up.
  5. Yup. Same here if I had any way of getting it from Leicester, and I do play six string.
  6. What a shame they're pretty much all uninspired Fender clones. I think Ashdown is a superb company. Their amps and cabs are great, and from what I've read here and elsewhere online, their customer service is second to none. (Although I've never needed to use it personally) I'd like have seen them do something a little more out of the box design wise. Nothing too radical, but just not a straight copy and paste of Leo's homework. At that price point, if you want something like a Fender, buy a Fender.
  7. I didn't think anyone could make anything uglier than a P bass..... I was wrong.
  8. Here we go. I was sure I'd seen something on here about this before. Maybe give this guy a shout? https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/407323-another-vinyl-bass-wrap/?tab=comments#comment-4026978
  9. Wouldn't it limit the bass to only playing wrap music? (I'll get my coat)
  10. My main bass is a six stringer that weighs 14lbs. It's kind of like Thor's hammer. Only the worthy can wield it.
  11. Yes. Before he came along, they could only play guitar.
  12. Damn. Just when you thought Fenders couldn't get any uglier.
  13. https://youtu.be/8dx-PrDQej8 This is really annoying, but links never work as imbedded videos for me any more.
  14. Sadly. Whether we like it or not. This is a direct result of political decisions made by the UK voting public. Whilst I mostly try to respect the forums no politics rule. Sometimes topics are directly related to those political decisions and inseparable from them.
  15. I think sadly Own is right. I've returned several things from Bulgaria to Thomann in Germany with zero issues, even though the physical distance is much further than the UK to Germany. So most likely another bonus of regaining your sovereignty.
  16. Well, having done a little more research, it appears that the platform is genuine, but as I suspected, they invite pretty much anyone along in the hope that you will bring along some kind of fan base. The fans then buy "love" tokens which they give to the artists for varying amounts. Which can then be exchanged for cash. It is to Music what Twitch is to game streaming. It might be a bit of a laugh trying it out. We practice every week anyhow, so no harm in streaming part of it. But I don't think it will do anything in terms of building a fan base or earnings.
  17. Might be worth just contacting the guy and putting your cards on the table. Tell him that the song is not really your style and ask if he would consider swapping it for something else. Nothing to lose at the end of the day.
  18. I've just noticed I had a few emails in the band's email account, which I never really check because we only got together just before Covid and due to restrictions and safety, we're not even really a gigging band yet. I can only assume the sender got the email address via our YouTube account or Facebook page, which feature a few live practice performances. It was inviting us to take part in a digital music festival on a platform called sessions.com Now, colour me suspicious, but I'm always looking for the scam in unsolicited invites like this. So I was wondering if anyone on here had ever heard of this outfit. It looks like we've already missed out on this one, but if it's genuine it could be an interesting exercise to take part in a future digital festival. I've copied the email below to see what the hive mind thinks.
