Yup. I have exactly the same problem and mentioned it in another post but nobody else seemed to have it. I power my ms50b from my Harley Benton Airborne Pro power out. But it's still there if I use another power supply or even on batteries. So I've ruled out it being the power supply. I've also used it with cables to rule out the wireless system so it's not that either. it's what I can only describe as a high pitched whine. I've found the only way to make it even bearable is to turn off the tweeter and dial the treble back on the amp.

Funny. I was just thinking how many bargain priced Spectors there are around at the moment. But, then again I wouldn't be looking at listings for Jazz or P basses. So maybe my vision is skewed.

Yup. There are at least a couple of our songs that I would really like to play acoustic guitar on. But if I'm badly playing guitar, who's going to be badly playing bass?

What a shame they're pretty much all uninspired Fender clones. I think Ashdown is a superb company. Their amps and cabs are great, and from what I've read here and elsewhere online, their customer service is second to none. (Although I've never needed to use it personally) I'd like have seen them do something a little more out of the box design wise. Nothing too radical, but just not a straight copy and paste of Leo's homework. At that price point, if you want something like a Fender, buy a Fender.

Wouldn't it limit the bass to only playing wrap music? (I'll get my coat)

My main bass is a six stringer that weighs 14lbs. It's kind of like Thor's hammer. Only the worthy can wield it.
