    Removing the film wouldn't make any difference whatsoever to returns. And I've never found returning anything to Thomann the slightest bit of a hassle. It couldn't be easier.

    I've returned two things in the past 12 months to Thomann. A six string bass, and an electric drum kit. The return postage was prepaid for both items and it didn't cost me a penny. I'm in the EU so if you're having to pay return postage then it must be a UK thing.

    I did wonder if that might be a better option. Seems to make more sense than filling down the bridge.

    I thought the same. If it ever annoys me sticking out of the bass, it's easy enough to make a little pouch to fix to the strap, and a short m/f Jack lead.

    It's quoted as up to 5 hours on the Thomann website. We regularly rehearse for 3 hours plus, and I've never managed to run it flat. So I've got no reason to believe this isn't true.

    It's surprising how often this happens. It's definitely no reflection on the band or artist. These kinds of clubs, as you rightly pointed out, are usually full of pensioners who complain about anything louder than a fly farting, then go home and turn their TV up to 5000 decibels.

    My Jack socket is on the edge of the bass, so the wireless dongle folds up to the edge of the body and is barely noticeable.

    Well it's nothing to do with the looks, and more to do with the litigious owner of Rickenbacker who threatens to sue anybody who even mentions copies of their guitars. So much so that's it's just easier for the forum to ban any listing altogether, rather than police whether or not the items being sold are original.

    I'm the same. I've been wireless for about three years now. I hate being trussed up with cables.

    As I suspected. It will take a fair bit of modification to get the hipshot to fit. An interesting project though. Please post pictures of your progress. Good luck.

    Are you going to have to drill through, and mount it on top of the chrome backing plate? If so, isn't the action going to be really high?

    Yes. The 2.67 ohms is a minimum rating. So no problems at all. The 2 X 8ohm cabs would give you a total load of 4ohms. Well above the 2.67 minimum.

    Yup. Good advice. It's surprising how often this happens. I had the same problem with a Vox guitar amp.

    True. But even if that's the case, I don't see how you could fit an aftermarket bright in it's place, unless you drill, and mount it on top of the chrome. I'm really confused about exactly what NewUser is trying to achieve.

    Pretty much anything leaning towards the punk side of rock should be accessible to a three piece. Green Day and The Foo Fighters would be a reasonable enough start. Mostly power cord based with little or no soloing. It might not be the most fulfilling initially, bit it should definitely get you started, or rather keep you going.

    In that case, yours is a totally different design to mine, or has been modified at some point. Mine is definitely all a single piece consisting of the bridge which is then enlarged to create the whole scratch plate.

    Aren't the tribal plate and the bridge one whole piece? That's the whole point on Trabens. The massive one piece brass bridge to create sustain. I don't think removing the bridge from the tribal decoration plate is possible, unless you're willing to attack it with a grinder. It's all one piece.
