1. Back in 1988 I had a Marshall Jubilee head and a Jubilee 4x10 cab. It was a 200w head and it sounded ok, just ok. I had come from owning a Mc Gregor 200w bass head with HH 2x15" cab which at the time I thought sounded great, this is what I started with, to then owning a Peavey Combo 300, which looking back was brilliant. I then tried the Jubilee head thrigh a Peavey 1820 cab, 1x18" with 2x10" speakers, not good, and it weighed about 150lb! The Marshall Jubilee head was, looking back , weedy, lacking in bottom, lacking in mids and had clanky harsh highs and this was using a JD Mark King. Maybe using different cabs and a passive bass would have a different effect.

You cool mf****r.
3. Hi Paul, so in effect you let your Stealth go for £599? Nooooo. I feel your pain. I swapped a JD Mark King, opalescent white, bound neck and headstock for a Quadraverb and £450, I think I take the burke of the millenium award.
4. Boss GT6B only needs one pedal to be pressed to be put into true by-pass mode.
5. Thanks Lads. I think I'll be staying with the DR's. I get them from the States for $24.95 (£12.50) but with the extras you pay they work out a bit more. The only trouble is the last time I orderd them they took nearly a month to arrive.
6.
Hmm... I'd agree if I wasn't paying 13 pounds an hour.
We pay the princely sum of ..... £3 per hour, Liverpool dock front, where dockland flats go for £500,000.
7. Sparky why don't you keep what you've got and add another cab. You will only be getting half your amps power through that cab you have, so adding another will make you sound much louder.
8. Yeah, bring them to bass day I'll buy them. See you and your ACG there. SOLD.
9. WOW, I didn't realise that one business man owns the interlectual property of so many designs. Can you enlighten me?
10.
Hand over your Kubicki!! (He thinks...will be collectors classic some day...)
Did you know that Peter Gordino played bass in a 60's rock band called Mc Kesson's 500.
11. Made an extra £27.28 and ended up without a sale looking like a ****.
12. Going to keep this set up, it sounds amazing using the GT6B to control the front end. Why I never tried it before?
13. I've just tried plugging my bass into the GT6B and out to the effects return on the back of my ABM Combo, bypassing the controls and just using the power amp. It sounded cleaner, clearer, more powerful, deeper etc. I think I'm in love again.
14. That's beautiful. How much?
15. I use DR Hi Beams, they feel great, have a nice even tension across the strings, sound good but cost a packet. I would like to hear peoples opinions about the Pro Steels, as they cost a lot less and get a good write up. Cheers Steve.
16.
Great basses, i had a fretless one when i was 17, before i realised it was what Duff used, i was well chuffed when i found out, sold it to get my faithful sonic blue mij jazz waaay back in the day now, and although my (now hugely modded) jazz is my baby, ive always wanted another one of those bad boys, heres a pic of me, n mine very early in the morning in a studio a loooong time ago now, in the heady days of grunge in case you cant tell! hehheh! I had stuck on a pick holder, replaced the bridge with the chunky one off my old kaman GTX 53 and colured the 'F' in on the knobs with tipp ex, al la our guitarists fender esprit ultra
Hi gafbass02, which band did you play with at the time of the photo? You look familliar.
17. I really need to get all of my old Music UK, Making Music, Guitarist mags out of the loft and start looking for all of these old wonders reviews. I'm sure I've got adverts for this bass somewhere. If I can be arsed I'll scan the most interesting adverts (anyone remember Mick Jagger's brothers Staccato Bass?) into the PC and see what everyone thinks.
18. I can imagine that it sounds totally awsome and then some. I heard a demo of Nemesis gear once by some guy with only one hand! I can't remember his name but his playing and sound were stunning.
19. I see, so trades only would give you better value. But you could probably make something like your money back and still get something cool. That thing is a beast and I think for anyone to trade a lightweight, portable setup for it would have to be very passionate about wanting to own an 8x10. I hope I'm wrong though so best of luck.
20. Didn't it cost you about £500 in a sale?
21. You two have got far too much spare time on your hands. BTW, do you spank his bottom when he's naughty?
22. My head says NO, my heart says YES. Why should everything look like a Jazz Bass or a Fodera?
23. Alex and Robbie, this is one of the most tasteful and and at the same time different looking basses I've ever seen come together. The Q Tuners look perfect with the choice of woods. Superb.
24. My ABM Mini 48 4x8" cab for sale. £150 + P&P.
