1. It's an English ABM 500 Head inside a 1x15" cab delivering 300w @ 8 ohms, (ie, into the 1x15") and 575w into a 4 ohm load, ( with another 8 ohm cab.) With my ACG it sounds cruel. I want to sell so I can get 1 amp and 1 cab.
2. Lawrie has said it all and the pics probably don't do it justice. Any people in the market for this kind of bass, well, buy it.
3. Good luck with the sale. The solo is beautiful.
4. This has been my favourite thread of the year, by a long chalk.
5. Oh BTW, I'll have first dibs on your Trace pre if it's available? No, seriously!
6. Dood, you know you want it. Classic, original, Thunderfunkesque tone through that Powersoft amp, mmmmm
7. How does it sound and play? Any chance of any sound clips?
8. Hi Paul. I can't believe this is still for sale? People should take a trip to the Statii site again and look for a guy mentioned from Oz who plays a Stealth 6, can't remember his name, Wayne Jones I think. A jazzer who sounds great. Have a bump on the house. I remember now, Wayne Jones, what a player. Check his sound out.
9.
Sounds like he is giving it his all. And, he is gigging..... Sometimes playing with all you have when you dont have much is more admirable than sitting in a bedroom with all you chops. G
I totally agree. You are not a musician unless you play with others. Just put some ideas down with the drummer tonight at rehearsals, as the guitarist couldn't make it. Could have done it with Cubase but we ended up going off on one to do better stuff.
10. Yes use to own SVT2 and 8x10", flight cased.
11. What does it slap like. The shape is brilliant!
12. How does that little set up sound? EBS pedal through the Ampeg, into the Marshall, BTW, is it 4 ohms and 400w? Cheers Steve.
13. Nurse? he's out of bed again!
14.
For my benefit? Just saw what you said, and I already ordered an ACG months ago, I just like the look of Sei's a lot, and RIM basses too, and about 50% of all basses that exist.
Apologies to all. I forgot you ordered an AGC. Can we still be friend's? It wasn't meant for you, my mistake, it was for ZPQ.
15. Forget about it and just let your basses relic naturally. After all Sting didn't do it to his.
16.
No worries - all I'd say is "horses for courses..." - I've wanted a Sei for a long time - I've played a ton of other amazing basses - and I still think Sei are among the best out there - in the world - personally I think they look amazing, sound great and play great - I'm happy with my choice - I'm sure you feel the same way about your bass too - and that's the way it should be. M
Sorry mate, I was saying this for the benifit of thedontcarebear. I love your Sei.
17. Not to detract from the benefits of a Sei. I wholeheartedly recommend an AC Guitar. You will be blown away by the playability and the price. The sound of these basses is astounding.
18. Congratulations, (he says through gritted teeth)
19.
Awesome! When I see things like this I start to seriously consider getting a single cut. Hope you don't have long to wait until it's finished Cheers John
Yeah do it. Get one their great. I thought my ACG singlecut would be difficult to play, no way, upper access takes a little while to get use to but then it seems so natural. And the improvment in tone and solidity of the neck is great. In any case, you shouldn't be putting your thumb over the top of the neck anyway. Anthony Jackson says it's incorrect and improper. Victorian Bass Dad.
20. That's an amazing price. I always wanted one of these beauties. Have a small bumpette on the house.
