Great tip EBS I do this a lot , it also sounds really nice with some reggae basslines played an octave higher 🙂

This is very true teebs The knowledge of people on here about basses , pedals, amps, cabinets etc is incredible , if you ask the question you will get the answer , where else could you get that 🙂

I’m on here a lot, not always posting but always reading, and learning about my passions ‘ The Bass’ , and music. IMO The majority of bc members are really nice decent honest people ,but there are a few who deliberately post things just to annoy people and gain a reaction but they are quickly warned by the mods , this is the only social media I do because I feel I can trust bc 🙂.

I’ve got mine too, very light and nice padding, and the width is just right, thanks ped for recommending 🙂

I bought this about 3 years ago because I liked the White and maple ,and I was really surprised how good it felt and played IMO it’s equally as good as my us jazzes 🙂

I seem to remember there was a threat on tapewound strings a while back, but I mostly use D’addario 50, 65, 85 ,105 tapes they give me the deep warm lows I like but don’t sound muddy and the tension is good, not too floppy, I personally have never needed to go any heavier and I play pretty heavy reggae and dub 🙂

I’ve got many clamps in my joinery shop which you’re welcome to borrow , but it may be difficult to clamp at that angle, it may be easier to lay the body on a board and screw some blocks around it and glue and wedge the split piece back into position 🙂

I always use headphones, I find I can hear the bass clearer as opposed to listening through speakers , and I can also hear small pickup notes and mutes which i may otherwise miss . Also if the track is on YT and has a difficult section, I slow down the playback speed until I’ve got all the notes and just keep playing it until I’ve got it down 😀

I used to go to laskys in Tottenham Court Road every Saturday in my hifi days , you could test out all their separate amps and cabs in their sound room, great shop 🙂

That sounds like a really good variety of music to play , I would definitely go to see a band playing this 😀
