  1. Hi Tullfan, they really are a great amp, I play a jazz bass with tapes which is good with my other amps, so I now use the behringer BDI21 with the LB , and it sounds great, it gives me just that little bit more bass , cheers ☝️
  2. Great tune, there’s a few versions of it but , imo, that’s the best ☝️
  3. Maybe worth looking in any local Cash Converters or such like shops .
  4. I came across this really nice version of police and thieves , by glen dacosta, with boris gardiner or Robbie Shakespeare on bass and sly dunbar on drums And the original by junior Murvin from 1976 , I was playing this around 1979 🙂 great tune , nice Bassline
  5. I don’t really play fretless, but I really like that , it’s got a lot of character 👍
  6. I don’t use rounds at all , but when my Sandberg came from the factory it was fitted with their own 40-100 strings, and I was quite surprised how smooth and nice they were for rounds , and being light gauge they are easy on the fingers , I would recommend them 🙂
  7. They are just up the road from me but Won’t go in there because I know I’m gonna order something 😀
  8. Yeah definitely 4000 , they are custom builders, I really like them 🙂
  9. Yeah it’s a wilcock custom short scale
  10. I’ve never had a squier but Ive had a few mim PJs and they’ve had jazz width necks 🙂
  11. Sounds perfect ☝️
  12. Sorry It wasn’t a criticism Bruno , I meant the neck looks nice and slim at the nut for a precision, my P is 41mm , 🙂
  13. Nice , the nut looks slim or is it just the picture 👍
  14. Someone on here has got a really nice white one, I can’t remember who it was
  15. I really like these, They are not far from me, you rarely see one used for sale
  16. Nice tune, I’m liking that ☝️
  17. A few years ago I bought an old battered mim fender jazz , I took everything off it , stripped the body and sanded the neck, re stained the fingerboard, and upgraded all the parts and rebuilt it, this was a massive learning curve for me as I learned how the bass was constructed, and with the help of some YouTube videos and playing around I adjusted the truss rod and bridge to set it up to perfection for me, since then I have no fear of setting up or tweaking any of my basses, I’ve just bought a mim p bass and I’m going to do the same with that , it’s a great way to learn 🙂
  18. It’ll take some practice 😄
  19. If you want a handy little tool for measuring string height, pickup height etc, one of these would come in handy , and for general light sanding and nibbing down or smoothing, these pads are great, https://www.screwfix.com/p/norton-expert-contour-sanding-pads-fine-medium-pack-of-2/9971D?tc=AA6&ds_kid=92700022649300980&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1243321&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr-mtisnC5wIVF-DtCh1BsQ7HEAQYAiABEgJb6fD_BwE
  20. That’s cool, imo there’s good and not so good in all years, it’s what feels good for you, I’ve got an 08 and it’s great, hope it works out for you ☝️
  21. Yeah maybe Paul, the markbass cab is spot on with my Ashdown mag head which is what I play with , but with the LB it just lacks a bit of deep bass, I’ve had it all checked over by Dave green and he said it’s perfect
  22. @Maude I ordered one from DV247 it came 2 days later and it’s a great little unit for the money, it does the job nicely, you can get some good slap tones from it too, thanks for the recommendation ☝️
