    Me too - this is/was the Holy Grail of 2x12 cabs just a short while ago..? Having seen and heard them in action at one of the South East Bass Bashes a few years ago, the reputation was most definitely deserved!

    The BC market is very strange at the moment I think..has been for a while IMO. Might be wrong on this but it seems to me that there's more than an air of caution about spending larger sums of money on bass related items as we approach 29th March. On a personal note, if I hadn't invested money into moving to a bigger house last summer, I would definitely have been very interested in this! If I were you, I'd hang on to it. 😊

    Good thread.. 😊 Late 80s Rock/Rap band The Chiefs of Relief took their name from a lyric in the Grandmaster Flash song 'It's Nasty Genius of Love)'.. And Stephen 'TinTin' Duffy's group The Lilac Time took inspiration for their name from lyrics in the chorus of Nick Drake's song 'River Man'.

    Lovely bass and a good price too considering it has the John East pre already in it.. I had a passive one of these some years ago and it was a such a comfortable bass to play for a 5 string. Beautiful even J-Bass tone across the strings too. GLWTS

    Now SOLD 😊 Hi Folks I have a faded White Precision Bass Scratchplate for sale. This came with an early 90s P Bass that I bought a couple of years ago IIRC. All seems to be as it should be and hopefully the picture will tell the story of how it's got a nicely faded look to it.. Happy to sell for £ Now SOLD or near offer, plus postage.     Hi Folks This is a high quality Speakon to XLR speaker cable made for me 2 years ago by @obbm when I had an old Trace Elliot AH350 head.. As I've since come to regret, I didn't keep the amp very long and as a result, this cable has hardly ever been used. Looking for £10 plus postage for this if anyone on here can make use of it.     @obbm - Thanks Dave.. I said I was Luddite in my post! 😁 @Chimike - Thats why I came back this morning to double-check if it was OK. Appreciate the help everyone.. Being able to use the V4BH and the Epi will make a real difference on some gigs, that's for sure. 😊

    Morning Folks Hope the weather is treating you OK wherever you are... So, I have a Luddite ohmage question about whether or not it would be safe or not to pair my Ampeg V4BH valve head with my Epifani 310 cab. Most of the time, I run the Ampeg with its matching 210 and 115 cabinets and it sounds absolutely glorious to me.. But at approx 60lbs each, it's a lot of weight when carrying both cabs around all the time. It does sound good when just using one of the cabs as well, especially the 115, but I have got very used to that full rig tone and (dare I say it) 'Heft'. 😀 And this is where the Epi 310 comes in - it's a beautiful sounding cab and really lightweight and, if I could run it safely with the V4BH, I think it could give me another more portable option for certain gigs and rehearsals without losing too much sound-wise. Like most valve amps, the V4BH has a switch that allows you to run it with cabs at either a total resistance of 4 ohms or 8 ohms. Now, to my Luddite brain, the way this is designed tends to make me think it's either got to be one ohmage setting or the other - or else you run the risk of major amp output transformer melt down!! However, the Epifani is rated at 5.5 ohms. So my question is: If I set the Ampeg to the 4 ohm setting, will that work OK with the Epi or will it cause a problem because it's not a precise match? Any pearls of wisdom and/or technical insight would be very gratefully received and much appreciated! Thanks for reading... 😊 Nik

    Wow... I'm not normally a Warwick fan but this seems like a lot of bass for the money to me.. And that's a fab colour! 😊 Mark's a long standing Basschatters and a great guy to deal with too, so deal with him in complete confidence. GLWTS

    I had a Sandberg 5 some years ago and one of the cool things about the bridge design was that it allowed you to vary the string spacing.. The tonal flexibility of these basses is great too and the active/passive switch mine had on the pre was really helpful as well. GLWTS
