  1. Are you certain of this @kodiakblair? I have been digging (googling!) and I think it's more likely an International series. As much as I hate to disagree with the Peavey oracle!
  2. You're not helping! I think I just decided to keep it - I scraped off some of the dulux and it's quite nice underneath
  3. Har, you and me both (says he that got another one today!)
  4. I can't take the credit - I bought it like that. It had spent years in a kitchen so was covered in grime. I cleaned it thoroughly, did a fret job on it, new strings and a new jack socket, set it up and it's great! I'd happily sell it though - I have way too many but am not very good at getting rid of them!
  5. It's definitely from 1969 - week 21 I reckon!
  6. It's a Peavey with a 'custom' paintjob - plays fantastic, worth bugger all!
  7. That looks just like this one @Highfox!
  8. Har thanks all! Don't get me wrong - it's not my new gigging bass but given the (extremely) low expectations I had it's not that bad. I paid wall art money for it so that's where it will probably stay, unless I specifically need a proper vintage tone for a recording or somesuch.
  9. It's still here @Grangur! Didn't think it would be so difficult to pass on tbh... In other news - just noticed the Kay has a zero fret!
  10. Thanks for the info - it's clearly a budget instrument but it plays ok - the action is a bit high and the strings sound about 30 years old but it's actually not bad! Truss rod still works too. It's light, and I now know how old it is.
  11. Just picked this up, does anyone have any idea what it is?! Any clues as to it's value other than not very much? It's an old Kay obviously given the logo on the pickplate and the body is plywood but other than that I have very little idea...
  12. He has been a guest on the Radcliffe and Maconie show on 6Music - a really entertaining and funny man.
  13. Surely if you get paid cash you've nothing to worry about?
  14. I'm pretty sure it's Wynne - she married Ed Wynne from the Ozrics.
  15. Very cool (if not slightly excessive)
  16. I'm happy to help with that again Richard
  17. It's no problem to stay here until then - I should have time to take some more photos at least
