  1. It's in Trowbridge, Wilts. I am happy to drive for an hour or so if it helps
  2. Bump! Someone must want a go - within an hour's drive of Trowbridge, Wilts?
  3. She looks to have learned it on a 4er - she doesn't play the B string once. Nice playing tho
  4. That's a strange looking beast alright.
  5. I have a couple of Bugera cabs, a 1x15 and a 2x10. For the price they are excellent, not exactly lightweight but they do have integrated wheels. Unfortunatley I have to sell the 15 as it won't fit in my new car!
  6. I have 19, there's at least 4 I would happily sell but wouldn't get much for them so not really motivated to bother. I do enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I walk in my music room, that feeling is very difficult to put a price on.
  7. The guitarist from the folk ensemble I play in has a band called The '41 Fords - last night was their first gig and was most entertaining. They are a 3-piece, guitar/vocals, drums/vocals and an upright bass doing 80s and 90s covers in a kind of punk/skiffle hybrid style.
  8. I was surprised by the reverb on the videos as it wasn't so obvious in the room, maybe to do with the frequencies the camera picks up? The true sound was deeper with less top end. Someone else must want to try this out? I have 3 days off this week and am happy to meet up somewhere within an hour or so drive. Or do we send it back to Tim to continue the love affair?!
  9. Videos uploaded - I seem to be coming down with a cold so am playing a bit wooden today. Played through a Hartke HA3500 and a couple of Behringer Bugera cabs. I didn't adjust the settings at all between bass guitars. First up the Infinga, then my upgraded Jazz-a-like, then a bit more Infinga as I had forgotten to record any of my clunky slap style. This is the first time I have ever recorded myself - an interesting experience!
  10. I did think about it, I have another from the same place entered at the moment.
  11. No problem @Marcoelwray you are welcome to use the photo. I enjoyed trying it out today - the neck profile was fine for me, although as already mentioned the frets are a little sharp. Otherwise it was very comfortable to play. The sound was good, tight and punchy with plenty of gain. Pickups are pretty hot, on a par with the active EMG setup in the Jazz. Switching between the pickups gave a good range of voicing with a bit of extra variety in the bridge options - although the difference between single/series/parallel wasn't as big as others I have played. This did help with the balance between the 2 pickups. Videos are still uploading (our Internet connection is terrible) Who wants it next?!
  12. I showed it some interesting local sights, have recorded a couple of short videos including a comparison with my Allen Eden Jazz. They will follow in a couple of hours once they are uploaded to Youtube.
  13. Now I don't like to be negative but that really didn't sell the bass to me at all.
  14. I was just about to say exactly this - grease on strings is a terrible idea.
  15. Model number is usually on the headstock, looks more like a TRBX with that headstock shape.
  16. If it's not the exact bass in that photo then it sure as hell is similar! Good info.
  17. @Christine on this forum, she isn't quite in the South West but her builds look exceptional.
  18. That's a rare one in the OP - unusual to see one with twin Barts. I struggled to get £140 for my Luthite one a while back which was in fantastic condition, ended up swapping it for an SGC Nanyo project.
  19. I have 19 bass guitars, they all sound different.
