  1. If someone was having difficulty deciding whether to buy a bass from me I'm fairly sure that going off on one at them would make sure I had just lost a sale.
  2. I've always enjoyed his critique of films - but was unaware of his other talents. Further confirmation of bass players being the classy ones.
  3. I imagine a 6.7m neck is going to be a bit of a stretch to play. Neck dive may be an issue too...
  4. https://amp.theguardian.com/books/2018/sep/09/mark-kermode-extract-how-does-it-feel-musical-misadventures Interesting reading
  5. Kmise make Fender fit necks with an overhanging fingerboard and 22 frets - is that what you are looking for?
  6. Wow, that really puts it into perspective!
  7. I am actually quite impressed with the sounds he gets from that
  8. To be fair most festivals are sailing pretty close to the wind financially, every little helps and all that. Doesn't mean I agree with your fellow band members activities tho
  9. That describes every single one of Rob and Kirk's doodles that I have regretfully clicked on.
  10. Free Wristband, always a splendid inducement. It costs them nothing extra and the longer you stay the more money you spend!
  11. This is a very good point - a lot of sellers are asking Thunder 3 money for Thunder 1s.
  12. Your writing is faultless @Christine much like your builds. You have nothing to worry about
  13. Well at least they have responded correctly, mine turned up straight away but I expect they had quite a few orders...
  14. I got that, I just don't like the way people bash him for doing something he enjoys, is clearly good at and is making a decent living doing it too. By my reckoning that makes him pretty successful! Some of his cheesiness can easily be explained simply by virtue of being French.
  15. Is your opinion, that you are entitled to. No-one is forcing you to watch it, whether I do or not is my choice - no?
  16. It's a cheap kit bass, the body is barely worth £20 as it is. It's hardly a precious commodity. As anyone who has tried to sell a bass recently will know the market is saturated, so one less bass at the bottom of the pack won't be much of a loss to the bass playing community! A lot of his videos are answering the question 'What if I..? '
  17. Nice skip find! My mate has a Westone Thunder 1A that was pulled from a skip. It has fag burns and is a bit battered but plays well, although it weighs about 100kg!
  18. I have shipped a number of bass guitars and other items fairly recently using Parcelforce with no problems at all, save for a small delay during the snowy season. They come to pick up from my work address and bring labels. I haven't paid for extra insurance as none of them have had hard cases but always pack well, double boxed and with plenty of padding. No help to you @Dood I am sorry, but feel I should point out not all couriers are useless.
  19. This has been posted on here before - I think the general consensus was that the sellers honesty was admirable.
  20. When it comes to acoustic bass guitars - size really does matter.
  21. My Tenson Jumbo is actually pretty loud.
  22. $10k? Jeebus! As nice as it is I just can't see how it is worth that much?
