  1. Geezer, what a player. I strongly recomend both Ozzy and Black Sabbath (Symptom of the universe) biographies, highly entertaining. Also, tomorrow night there's an event in London to celebrate the anniversary of this album, it should be good fun with bands playing, but I could not find any friend to go with, and unfortunately my girlfriend is not really into Sabbath. If any of you from London were interested, let's meet there for a toast to Geezer and the boys from B'ham. 🖤
  2. Never seen one of these but looks sexy. Good luck with the sale 👌
  3. I don't normally love black basses, but this is a beauty. Thumb up from me.
  4. What a surprise... Don't know what they expected when they gave a 2K bass to a 7 year old kid
  5. Went last year and this year. To be honest I don't think I'll go again. Open-space workshops surrounded by bass and guitar amps is as stupid as it sounds. The other workshops in separate rooms were very interesting. I expected to find much more to try and in a way that it is easier for everyone to sit down and try stuff.
  6. I ordered it in February i think, so maybe they just have enough copies for you, but not for me
  7. Ordered it a month ago, but I just got this email from Amazon "Hello, Weregret to inform you that we have been unable to source the following item: Lee, Geddy "Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass" http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0062747835 Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available. This item has now been cancelled from your order #202-5147999-1889113 and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it."
  8. Really?? I've just had a look, they only have 29 options for 5-string sets and they seem to be more expensive than other websites
  9. Amazon recently Thomann seems to have great price and huge variety. Shame for the shipping costs
  10. Someone was looking for a fretless like this in the WANTED section
  11. Bought a Sandberg off Enrico yesterday. Great communication and amazing person!
  12. The Corts I have tried all had an amazing feel and they seemed built really well. The problem is that I always find the sound very sterile and uninteresting, often quite empty and canny. I think I just don't get along with Bartolini pickups.
  13. Any samples available? Or any future trip to London? 😆
  14. 100lbs?!? Way too heavy for me
  15. Don't know why, but I can see this really well in Buttercream or similar yellow! https://www.andertons.co.uk/fender-player-jazzmaster-buttercream-pau-ferro-fretboard-0146903534?LGWCODE=0146903534;56375;6335&gclid=Cj0KCQjwj9LkBRDnARIsAGQ-hUdVaNBzuY1FScV1P0O5uEAibYi7sRYbsVkwIoahYOB3x1Uw7queeIoaAuZ4EALw_wcB
  16. Are we actually discussing the possibility of McCartney being overrated? I can understand Beatles may not be your cup of tea, but really? For me he is one of the best bass player ever existed. Immensely creating, bass lines that could stand alone and be appreciated as a whole song, but still perfectly fitting and functional in each song. For me he was simply perfection.
  17. MXR M87. I am still not able to perceive and play with the nuances you could get, but this has as the gain reduction leds to allow you to see what it is doing, and the minimal settings I need. I keep it on all the time in the background.
  18. With my band we have a couple of songs in D, so...
  19. I think my then bass teacher made me learn Every breath you take by Police
  20. It's ridiculous. You should let them know that despite their best intentions (probably) you did not appreciate it. For some bloody strings even, what the hell could happen to them anyway???
