  1. Played the first gig with my new band tonight,my first gig in 10 years! We only played for 20 minutes opening a charity boxe event, in front of about 200 people. During our second song my bass strap fell off and somehow I managed not to let the bass fall. Apart for that and too many mistakes, I guess it went well. Looking forward to the next.
  2. Glad I am not the only one to think that
  3. Not sure if you are allowed to post links, but I recently bought this and it works a treat. 8 isolated 9V, one 9V high current (500mA), one 12V and one 18V. Really cheap too and it comes with all the cables you need. No background noise at all even with 7 pedals on at the same time. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Guitar-Pedal-Power-Supply-Overcurrent/dp/B06XPG8B71/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1524498392&sr=8-3&keywords=power+supply+pedals
  4. Sweet! All clear, thanks for the swift reply
  5. I have a gig next Friday and I'll send the bass signal only into mixer and PA system..I have either a Tech 21 Sansamp BDDI and a programmable BDDI just arrived today which I will use, so I know I could send my signal to the mixer using the XLR output. My stupid question is: since I use other pedals in the chain AFTER the Sansamp, I guess these would not be sent to the PA if I use the xrl output from the sansamp in the middle of the chain? In this case, would i necessarily need to have to Sansamp at the end of my chain to send all the pedals? Second stupid question..if what I just wrote it's true, can I alternatively send my signal to the mixer and PA through regular jack cable from the last pedal of my chain? Are there significant differences in terms of quality or advantages between XRL and quarter jack cable? Thanks
  6. Selling this beast of a power supply for effect pedals. I commissioned many years ago in Italy to MEA Handmade, which at the time made the best homemade pedals and power supply units. Unfortunately I don't have anymore the specifications, but I have just sent an email to the manufacturer and if he gets back to me I will update this post. It has 15 9V outputs, I connected up to more than 10 pedals while all on and it didn't have any problem supplying them, no hiss or background noise. The unit is quite large, 17x10.5x5.5 and it comes with adapter to work on UK sockets, used it this way many times with no problem at all. If I remember I paid over 90 euro at the time, I'm asking 20 pounds as I am not using it anymore. Collection from central London or I can post.
  7. Sold a pedal to Ross and met in person, great comms and great guy. Reccomended.
  8. On Gumtree too now at £40, but £35 for the fellow Basschatters.
  9. Just bought and received a pedal from Phil, he posted it the day after I contacted him and I've received the pedal 2 days after. Great guy.
  10. Currently in love with the DOD Carcosa, great variety of sounds
  11. Proud owner of a MIM Classic 50 Precision. I bought it already upgraded with Delano pickups, really love the sound and feeling. I pick it up after months and it's still in tune Great great instruments
  12. Finally sorted my pedals thanks to Thomann... Hehehhe. Very pleased with the result, going to rehearsals and set up my pedals will be so much quicker
  13. Problem is I don't have enough space to keep another bass in the flat, and I couldn't justify spending 700 on another bass with the missus... I guess I'll keep an eye for a second hand one
  14. Seriously fell in love with this I am even thinking of possibly giving away my beloved Precision Classic 50 which I thought I never did!
  15. Great, I guess I get it now. Thank you all for your answers, very clear!
  16. Sorry, I still struggle to understand this. Does it mean that at a lower input the compressor will start working at a lower volume, or vice versa? Or i guess I can just use the metering leds to figure outat what volume it starts working?
  17. I have a MXR M87 Bass Compressor. I understand the Ratio, Release and Attack controls, but I struggle to understand how I should use the Input and Output controls based on the compression metering (leds at the top). I guess you adjust the Output only based on the volume you want the pedal to give you, but how do you adjust the Input? Should it be so that when you play the leds are normally in either the green, yellow or red area?
  18. Bought a pedal from Neil, arrived quickly and perfectly wrapped and protected. Buy with confidence!
  19. Excited for this! I'll make sure I'll come to say hi at the Basschat stand. See you tomorrow
  20. Hi, if this is still available I will be happy to take it. I have sent you a message
