  1. £177 is a ridiculous price! However, my arms aren't long enough to play a T-bird.
  2. Even though it's only a Squier, I would say those faults are unacceptable for a new instrument.
  3. Here's something...
  4. FYI, a slightly off-track sidebar, to show some of the changes to Rics over the years and also some copies to indicate suitability for a project like this. Here's my selection of Rics, spanning 5 decades; the blue '78 4001 3rd from the left is probably the nearest to his; you can see the horns are significantly wider. Here also are 6 fakers (well, 7 if you include the Kay hiding behind the sofa). The leftmost is a 70s Japanese CMI with thru-neck, the Richthofen is a Retrovibe with Seymour Duncan pickups fitted, the blue, cream, and burgundy ones are barebones Chinese projects in various states off progress, and finally there's the Rickenberger, which is just something I fancied doing. Of those fakers, only the vintage CMI would be suitable for a Lemmy, as the others have the wrong bridge and/or wrong scale length and/or wrong treble pickup position (the vintage Hondo II models also have that). Actually, if you place the CMI and the '78 Ric side-by-side, they are really quite similar. (I may be converting the CMI to a single-pickup 4000...)
  5. The discerning amongst you will notice that the bass has an extra fret; it's likely that's why the fretboard was replaced.
  6. Oh dear - that's not going to be right, as it's got the V2 bridge/tailpiece.
  7. That's the 1x15 model, right?
  8. Closely followed by 3/1...
  9. Still there.
  10. IMHO, the 5 in a row ones look even worse.
  11. Those Overlord Of Music bridges are utter rubbish. Chinese tat.
  12. Mentions of Christmas.
  13. Multiple no-sells...
  14. If you are looking at this you know what it is...
  15. For information, he who must not be mentioned has blessed a copy of the bass which must not be mentioned and it is up on ebay at the moment.
  16. Well, I had a browse and came across this"mixer", which has an interesting description... https://www.cashconverters.co.uk/shop/product/audio-mixer-alesis/1016973
  17. Darn; it's a lovely guitar, but I haven't got a spare £60k at the moment.
  18. Yes - it bugs me; hence the double gripe in the one phrase!
  19. "Squire not Fender" on something with a Fender logo applied.
  20. I've no affiliation with any brand, but I don't much care for counterfeits, "cheeky waterslides", honest John selling an "unknown" vintage attic find which is really a cheap copy with a decal, etc.
  21. My first bass was a Columbus Jazz too. My second was a Rickenbacker (which I’ve still got).
  22. I reckon the wings are home-made, so unlikely the pots would match anything much.
  23. “Pre-loved” - that sounds a bit pervy. Especially when added to “she”.
  24. I searched for Fodera on aliexpress and got this. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000558750952.html
  25. If you can reach the bottom string either way, you have tentacles, not fingers!
