It says RRP £399 - nobody would pay that for a Shine. £149 might be worth a punt. They're sub £100 instruments used.

It looks a bit scruffy for the price.

It looks to me like the new bridge/tailpiece assembly needs more body routing to fit, so it won't be a drop-in replacement.

One of my projects is an RB. It's got pickups and i just need to buy some pots and wire it up...

I like the hex screws holding the bridge on...

It's just a knackered Warwick with a pickguard.

So, it'll have a farty sound and only do root notes & 5ths.

The one I go to is really good - they cure their own and cut it to order.

I went to the Northampton guitar show today. It was rather good, had a nice chat with various folks there. Took my earplugs, but I didn't need them. In the way home I stopped of at the Biltong shop and bought a couple of bags of provisions.

The singer is rather good too - she has interesting nuances to her voice, rather than just trying to be Geddy.

I didn't mention it in this thread, but I tried on out in Wunjo a couple of months ago I set all of the controls to 12 o'clock, plugged in a Ric and into a Markbass amp, and it just sounded spot-on. My only gripe was that £250 is a lot for a pedal where you're not even going to use the knobs... If I get one, I would probably paint over the finish, rather than have Geddy staring at me in perpetuity!

Tim Starace frequents some of the FB forums - top bloke! They started as a Rush tribute and are now doing their own stuff too.
