1. Bananarama reforming has reminded how truly appalling they were the first time around.
2. Fire would have been a better way though.
3. Perhaps it was to hide damage?
4. The perloid blue looks very nice, can I ask where you got it from?
5. I guess he had nothing else to work with so thought diesel do for now.
6.
Yes - maybe sales tanked, so they canned the idea.
Oil bet it was a slippery character who greased his way in and took them.
7. The Bubinga one is a thing of beauty. Guessing they will not be cheap by any stretch though. Edit: from 2000 dollars, about 3-4000 dollars specced up, still nice though
8. All sold out so someone must like them, or no one liked them so they gave up.
9. Always worth putting a cheeky bid in as long as you can leave it on the book and don't have to pay for a catalogue but as said above the chances of it being successful are pretty small.
10. I would send him a message to say you will keep it free of charge for 28 days and allow any reasonable collection arrangement he makes and state that if not collected within the 28days it will be disposed of. That way he can't claim you have stolen it or any rubbish like that.
11. I got some slow blow fuses from Marlins as I was desperate and they were more expensive than eBay but not by that much, £3 for 5 I think.
12. I had the chance to have a good look over this this morning and it's a real stunner, if I had the spare cash it would be mine now.
13. Thanks Kev, as described, probably better in fact. Top bloke to deal with. Thanks mate!
14. Met up with Kev this morning for a trade/ purchase. Absolute top bloke and a pleasure to deal with. Sorry I didn't have more time to chat mate, next time we will get a brew on, thanks, Clive.
15. A The Ann Frank is worth a visit but go,on a weekday and get there for when it opens, when quiet it's a moving place to be, when rammed it's more like walking round someone's house - it loses the impact.
16. My mistake, minds eye was showing a precision. My old EB3 did exactly as you describe and that turned out to be a loose earth wire on one of the pots. But it was only by checking the continuity that I found it, the wire still 'seemed' to be attached. A wiggle of the wires would sometimes restore sound but not always.
17. Could be a pickup, bit also could be one of the pots, hence taking off the pickguard. If there is nothing obvious then it will need a more systematic approach. But wiggling wires can sometimes work wonders!
18. You need to whip off the pick guard and have a look. It may be obvious or you may need to get the old multimeter on it. If a wire is under tension and the solder joint is poor then it could have just pinged off but without having a look it's impossible to do anything other than educated guesses.
19.
I have five Big Muffs. Think I used one for a gig once, and that same one to record a track for a friend. So I can't say I've never used any of them!
I use mine all the time, well did, it's died :-(
20.
Hi .. I'm going to come along to this. Never been to one before, sounds fun. Space in the car from Derby if anyone needs a lift ... space for some basses too if I leave by double bass at home. I can bring any or all of: A Wal fretless, a (slightly odd) Warwick Dolph, a double bass, a TINY PJB amp (flightcase) and a LARGE Trace Elliot combo (if anyone wants to buy it!) CU there
Derby must be a hot bed of TE kit, I have just bought a very combo and cab from a guy in Derby. I grew up in Spondon but don't remember much TE kit in the music shops in Derby, remember a nice Roland amp I couldn't afford though.
21.
http://youtu.be/6Oj_ToAV-PM
I love that!
22. Mine was a Stagg, long gone and not missed if I am honest but it did get me playing so worked for a beginner.
