1. Could you put your foot up on something to tilt the bass towards you so you don't lean over as much?
2. Another member and myself got a few funny looks at at MacDrudges last week when shifting a TE combo and cab between cars. Met some great people already and have another meet up planned for this Saturday for a new purchase/trade.
3.
Some Silvertones are quite collectable these days. Keep anything for long enough and it will become cool.
Even Kay basses? May have a while yet to wait............
4. Hope my wife has strong arms, she will need them pushing the wheelbarrow my kit will buy.
5. Not just music venues, they nearly killed Mallory Park with this rubbish and I know several clay shooting places have had trouble.
6.
How about some of those Camden bands from the late 80s / early 90s? Silverfish, Milk, Headcleaner, Faith Healers, The Love Blobs, The Telescopes, i bet nobody remembers them..
I remember Silverfish, I saw them when they supported Therapy? Great live band.
7. They look like motorbike links to me, even if not they would be a very close match to your pic.
8. Not sure it counts as missed but I didn't get Placebo for the first two albums, ow one of my favourite bands and love the first two albums most. I think they have just been a bit quiet for my taste at the time.
9. Thanks, I will give it a try!
10. I have just bought a trace Elliot 2x10, it's properly heavy and they are cheap at the moment.
11. I have had two seriously bad experiences with Amazon market place, both at work and cost over £600 in total. One was particularly disgraceful as their customer services had copies of the emails where the supplier refused to do anything whatsoever despite a brand new item not working. Amazon really did not give a damn and refused to help in any way at all. In the end it was the credit car company that got the money back. The second time was a mis delivery, somehow that was our fault despite the fact that we have our own postcode and no number etc, we are big enough that there is just us. Again we got nowehere. Bad enough but if I tell you it's a school for kids with disabilities it makes it bordering on sick in my opinion. Needless to say we never order from them now.
12. Could be useful at a gig if you can time it right ;-)
13. But an awful lot are, and do great work. It's sad to see the repeated slagging off on this forumof charities, it's the one and only thing I don't like on here. If you fancy doing it, do it, otherwise don't. It's fairly simple. If you have doubts about the running or accounts of a charity your time would be better served contacting the charities commission with your concerns.
14. Like everything there are good and bad. I bought a new in box pedal power supply off shpock yesterday and it arrived safely this morning. This morning I picked up a new interior for one of my car projects from a guy off eBay. Perfect and better than described. But as always for every decent person there is a scumbag. Every so often you will find the scumbag. That is one of the reasons I like buying off forums as the vast majority are decent on most forums.
15. Having the same issues myself. First time on Shpock but am so tired of issues on Gumtree and eBay. I am selling an electric guitar and have been messed about so much I have given up for the time being. What really frustrates me is that it was a very good price and perfect for a starter (£100 for a yam, recently service with practice amp etc) so it's not as though it was thousands AND I needed the money to buy a combo and cab off here. Luckily I managed to sell, other stuff and get the kit I needed but I had two weeks when it was 'sold' when I didn't feel I could do much with it. And again this week, this time with a £3 Haynes manual, it's not the money on that one, it's the principle of it.
16. Teenage kicks - undertones Sweet child of mine - Guns n Roses Pretty vacant - sex pistols Some Jam?
17. They have the transformers for the v4 and v6 but not the V8, too rare presumably. I am hoping not to buy them anyway as I have access to a stock of NOS and used ones. Just need to get an idea of what spec they are to see if I can match them.
18. I have 99% of the schematics for the Trace Elliot V8 and a tame electronics engineer so have been hatching a plan to make a one off replica. We sat down this evening to get a parts list together and all is good except that schematics miss out the transformers. They show some info but not enough to spec them properly. I don't suppose anyone would have a link to any part numbers or ratings for these?
19.
Syria is a long way to go for a band meeting.
I presumed Maidenhead............
20. I think that is the best colour for a Fender personally, looks gorgeous.
