    I made a hifi shelf unit out of piranha pine about 20 years ago - that had pinkish streaks. Maybe it’s that?

    Bass can be an derrière to get “right” sound-wise recording, but live performances in general lift a piece of music. Just try programming any well known highly repetitive song via midi only, and it just turns to poop. It’s all about The performance.

    I had a weird sound with my One10. Alex and co were ace in helping me diagnose the issue. Turned out it wasn’t the cab!

    Hmmm, nice! I’m tempted daily to do very little work (nothing to do with bass guitars though).

    I quite like the partially obscured name on the headstock - I’d keep it as is! I keep looking at the Deko section for one of these. I’m reluctant to pay full price for something I may well eff up.

    If the amp doesn’t make the bad noises with nothing plugged in, I’d hazard a guess it’s what you are plugging in to it. Active bass needs new batteries? Bass needs earthing/shielding?
