1. I've got the full sized Flashback and don't think I'd ever sell it. By all accounts the mini is great too. And they have the ingenious tap tempo workaround which I love.
2.
Wow:) . This might be best lookin' Fodera ever made.
I firmly agree. Someone is going to be very happy.
3. I think I'll be following in your footsteps at some point Noir, and at the moment the Bass Station 2 is top of my list with an Ultranova in a close second place. My toss-up at the moment is mono vs. poly, which is a bigger deal for me as I won't have another synth to take poly duties...
4. If this had a Split coil pickup I'd probably be biting your arm off for this.
5.
Just been drooling over this on FB and now it appears on here. Stop following me!
Join the club!
6. There's a lovely looking Ibanez BTB1605 for sale on a Facebook that I'm a member of. Selling for less than your budget too!
7.
Precision Simple, great in a mix, has a distinctive slap tone, and if you're not convinced it can 'do fusion' or 'diddly diddly' stuff, just check out Michael League But as you quite rightly suggest, pretty much any bass will do, it's what is comfortable and sound good in your hands that matters. Si
I was about to chime in with "Yamaha BB" myself, but Sibob makes an excellent point here.
8. Wow! I imagine that put quite a dent in the old wallet?
9. I was never a fan of this bass in its stock black coat. Looks great stripped back and natural IMO.
10. Cool setup you've got there. What size pleasureboard is that? I guess the vibrations don't freak the dog out?!
11. Looks like they've ditched the VLE and VPF controls in favour of the new amp modelling stuff?
12. Disaster. My search was indeed a dead end
13. WHAT. Now to trawl google image search for pics...
14.
If you had bought it, you'd have sounded fine by now... Just sayin'
Ha! You are no doubt correct, but "the fear" set in and there was just no way I was gonna walk out of the shop with it. One day in the not too distant future though
15. A little while back I was close to pulling the trigger on one of the ibanez portamento fretlesses. Really loved the sound and was enamoured with the idea of learning a new technique. Picked one up in Wunjo Bass (Denmark Street) and immediately panicked as I sounded awful on it! That was enough to temporarily deter me from parting ways with my hard earned pennies but I'm sure I'll probably bite the bullet and buy a fretless at some point in the future.
16.
EHX HOG, simple. An absolute genius pedal.
This looks amazing but it also looks huge! I'm definitely intrigued though.
17. This is very cool! I wonder if they do a bit crusher?
18. I've got so much love for the Octamizer. The filter knob for the octave and the tone knob for the clean mix are really excellent. Together they give you so many options I don't think I'll ever sell mine! Might look into getting one or two different octaves for flavour though...a DOD meatbox is next on my list.
19. Janek Gwizdala is a big user of the Boss PS-5. It sounds cool and the tracking seems to be excellent but definitely isn't a "natural" octave up bass sound.

NBD - ACG

Wood grain! Front, back, fretboard...it's all so nice! I'm very jealous. In fact, I reckon if and when I've got enough spare cash lying around (probably not for a long time) an ACG will be my custom of choice. Seen so much variety on this forum and without exception they have all been beautiful
