1. These are pretty rare these days - maybe of interest to someone. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122520132935

SOLD

I've just bought one of these and have to say it's a fantastic bit of kit. Loving it so far! Great price too. GLWTS
3. Somebody please buy this before I do something hasty! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222517248360
4. I too have (and enjoy) my recently purchased Spectracomp. Recently saw that TC are releasing a hyper gravity mini though, so I'd be interested in seeing the differences. At the moment the only obvious difference to me is that the HG mini has 3 Little knobs on the front panel vs the Spectra's 1. Presumably the TonePrints will be much more guitar oriented too.
5. This looks like it's made of molten gold and I've never seen a 10-bolt neck joint before!
6. That wine red and white scratchplate make a mighty fine pairing. Neck dive must be an issue though? Though being Mike Lull, perhaps he's performed some kind of magic balancing witchcraft to address this?
7.
possibly the sexiest bass body shape ever.
I'm tempted to give you a +1 on that...
8. Bump for one of the most comfortable necks I've ever laid hands on.

I also have an X2 and it works trouble-free but I know what you mean about the recorded loops having a slightly different tone.
10. If I hadn't just bought an MXR Bass Preamp I might well be PMing you for this. GLWTS.
11. Big thumbs up here for a Protection Racket deluxe bass case. Rigid foam case, plenty of protection, and big pockets (especially on the deluxe version) which will easily hold your Aguilar plus a load of extra stuff you might want to take with you. The Gator ProGo cases sound similarly functional and I've heard good things about them too. Either of the two I've suggested will cost less than the equivalent Mono bag!
12. The fact I narrowly missed a used one on the classifieds here yesterday has only heightened my GAS. ...must...resist...
13.
hi everyone I'm a long time reader, first time poster - but I have just completed my first bitsa 'Fender' Precision Bass. Mighty Mite neck from ebay - never mounted but gloss (probably poly) finish and a decal already applied - the plan was a '62 clone but I couldn't find a cheap neck with 7.25" profile so I had to settle for 9". Body is from guitarbuild website - made in uk - 3 piece Alder; I've finished it in a tru oil. Original Fender parts for most of the hardware: vintage bridge, vintage tuning machines, original '62 pickup, string tree, strap buttons, neck plate Cheap knobs and scratchplate (celluloid top) Strung with Rotosound 77s I'm pretty pleased with it...
Ooh now that's my kinda P!
14. *sigh* I have the Smooth Hound website permanently open in a tab on my iPad and I keep hovering over the buy button. I'm literally looking for reasons not to buy one but seem to be failing miserably. It's only a matter of time before I give in to temptation
15. Apologies if this has been posted before but I found this video and thought it may be of use to those wondering about the performance of the Smooth Hound. It's with guitar but you get the idea! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x355f1s
16.
Thanks. I'm a bit of a tart when it comes to basses, so if it doesn't work for me, it may well end up back up for sale on here - keep an eye out!
Congrats on the purchase! Let us know how she plays
17. Thomann seem to stock a couple of sets of Fodera 5-String sets with high Cs.
18. Is it bad that I'm tempted by this despite literally just having bought a spectracomp 2 weeks ago?
19. If you want fun then I'd suggest an envelope filter and/or octave pedal.
20. If you want to go analog then I'll wholeheartedly recommend an Aguilar Octamizer. The breadth of sounds you can get with the filter knobs is sublime - goes from smooth and dubby to gnarly and synthy.
21. Goodness. I'm not mad about the colour but everything else about it sure looks tasty.
22. Not sure I've ever seen the BF Two10s without the silver cloth grilles but I've gotta say I prefer seeing the cones through the bare metal grille as in your pics. Also, very sexy wood grain on that Maruszczyk.
