1. BRX is right. Bluetooth literally isn't fit for this purpose as it was never designed for it. The quality of sound available through Bluetooth devices is actually quite decent but the latency is less than ideal (as you've noticed) range is fairly short and the strength of the connection can be compromised easily. As I understand it the Smooth Hound and similar digital systems run on technology akin to WiFi which allows for much better connection stability and transfer speed. Many wireless mics and IEMs work in the same way. I have very little knowledge of analogue wireless systems, other than hearing comedic tales of bands picking up conversations from the local taxi office through their PA
2. Thanks for the insight guys. Sounds like I should take a punt on the Chowny. Re: the Aguilar not sounding good with too much low end - I was planning on mainly sending octave and octave filtered sounds through it so that could be a disaster...anyone else had a poor experience with the Aggy?
3. I didn't even notice the inlays until you pointed them out. I like em too.
4. Just had a listen. Sounds very much like DOD Meatbox territory to me. And the good news is there's one for sale here at the moment I'm not the seller BTW...
5. Glad to hear all's going well. When I first put my receiver on my board I got a similar pop on turning it on/off but I've since shuffled my signal chain a bit and altered the order in which my pedals get power from my rechargeable packs. I found it odd as my Smooth Hound was isolated from everything else on the board but hey, the reshuffle did the trick. My Smooth Hound is now practically silent on startup and shutdown. Might be worth investigating.
6. Two pedals with very similar names but very different prices - I can get a new Chowny for half the price of the Aguilar used. I like the sound of them both in demos but a YouTube demo can cover a multitude of sins. Slightly different controls on both - the Aguilar has a single "blend" knob vs the Chownys separate level controls for the fuzz and dry signals. Anyone out there have experience of both pedals?
7. Thank you sir! Cables under the board now neatened a bit and all is well. It's a pretty noiseless setup which is great. Pedal GAS keeps striking though so things will probably shift a little bit in the coming weeks.
8. Mine was out by an hour for ages until I realised there's an option in your profile settings that enables automatic detection of daylight saving time. I enabled it and all is well.

10. I'm almost tempted to get this as a backup. Probably my favourite pedal. GLWTS.
11. +1 on the Roli boards be a fascinating experience. Who knows, with some good old fashioned practice I'm sure one could become comfortable enough with it for use as a main gigging board. For me though, the price is seriously prohibitive. £599 for the 25 key version and that's just a controller - no internal sounds (!!) All the way up to around £2500 for the Grand. Which, by the way, isn't even "grand" technically speaking as it only has 61 keys. At least it actually produces its own noise though. Can you tell I won't be buying one? There are some videos of virtuoso players getting incredible things out of them - Cory Henry being an example. Worth a watch!
12. Two of them! And a LMT500. Perhaps he could be convinced to split? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172734070012
13. I kinda know what you mean about the metal control plates but the blade pickups have seriously got some witchcraft going on in them. I'll be interested to hear how these new pickups compare.
14. ...and then I start reading about the Subsequent 37
15. Really wish I could be there. Janek is one of my favourite players - of any instrument.
16. Good work! Sounds like you're curating a collection
17. Yours as in you're the one selling it or you're the one who bought it?
18. You speak much sense. There is absolutely no way I can justify the ~£1000 used for a Sub37. The Sub Phatty is running at circa £600 used as it is, and that's more than I've ever spent on a bass. Madness. BS2 It is then I can't forget the compelling possibility of powering a BS2 from my pedalboard which I can't do with any of the Moogs. Can't even do it with the Ultranova to be fair. Well, I could, but it runs on 12v and I frankly can't be arsed dealing with the hassle of that.
19. Why am I getting Sub Phatty GAS when I know the BS2 does everything I want and more? Damn you Bob Moog.
20.
Id love to see a white one with black hardware!
Yes!
21. Bit of a late reply but I used to use the Tron Up/Down effect on my Line 6 M5 and I seem to remember there being some kind of level control within the edit parameters? It's been a while since I owned it though so my memory could be less than accurate. It might be worth changing the filter from bandpass to low pass or vice versa. That can make a difference to the loudness of the output but will obviously have the potentially undesirable effect of changing the overall tone of the filter sweep!
