1. There are loads of great options in this price range to be fair. Are you intending on using them primarily for casual listening or for studio/recording/mixing? By the sounds of your original post I'm assuming casual listening but thought I should ask just in case!
2. I realise that most threads seeking recommendations become a case of everyone suggesting what they use, but... For that money you should be able to get a used or refurbished pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Around Ears. Make sure they're wired though as the wireless ones will cost considerably more. I recently bought the wireless ones and they're seriously good. Got them refurbished through the Sennheiser outlet which basically meant I got a good as new pair of high end cans at a hefty discount, direct from Sennheiser with warranty. I listen to (mostly) neo soul, jazz and R&B and find them lovely sounding. Not noticeably hyped in any frequency range, just clear and balanced with good response from top to bottom. They're very well made and look great too if you care about aesthetics. The internet is full of adoring reviews of these so don't take my word alone, do a quick google search. Whatever you end up with though, my advice is not to buy new as you'll save a load of pennies going refurbed or used. But then that would be my advice for buying pretty much anything
3.
Depends how spendy you want to be. After buying a Phil Jones Big Head I'm gassing for a Double Four.
Big +1 here. I missed out on one a little while ago and really regret not going for it. PJB make fantastic stuff. Although saying that, I've just acquired a Tecamp Puma 900 and so far have only played it through headphones - if it were practical to carry it around as a headphone amp it would knock the Big Head off the top spot! The tone shaping is so good.
4. At last!
5.
How is this still here?!
Right? Madness IMO.

7. These are phenomenal pedals. GLWTS.
8. Just bought a Tecamp Puma 900 from Sean. The amp is in excellent condition, very well packaged and great communication. Deal with confidence!
9. So I've been using these wirelessly every day on the way to work and back, plus one day I left them on and paired to my phone in my bag for about 5 hours. Bear in mind that I started using them as soon as I got them out of the box without charging them. Well, they FINALLY ran out of battery last night on the way home and I had to recharge them for the first time when I got in. Ridiculously good battery life.
10. That was one of the best bass demos I've seen in a very long time. Great fingerstyle playing, no chatting. Very tasteful. I now have GAS!
11. Who would you have it built by?
12. Truth! I already have one myself - Wouldn't consider using anything else now.
13. I know this may be read with a slightly raised eyebrow but for ultimate portability I'd recommend a TC Helicon Voicesolo FX150, especially since you say drums and bass won't be going through it. 3 channel mixer with 3 band EQ per channel built in. They can be mic stand mounted too which is a godsend on tight stages. Bloody loud with guitars and vocals - I've run open mic nights with 1 or 2 of these acting as PA and it always sounds impressively good. Definitely worth checking out.
14. Yup. The lack of easy sharing of TonePrints is a pretty annoying omission from TC. I don't know of a specific "TonePrint screenshot marketplace" but maybe try Talkbass if you haven't already? On a side note, Source Audio have a similar editor for their pedals which allows and encourages the uploading and sharing of custom pedal settings. Maybe look into some of their pedals. Technical support from SA tends to be rather good too so if something isn't quite behaving as you expect you can often get help quickly.
15. By all accounts these are monster cabs. Do a quick search on Talkbass and you'll see a huge thread on them. Bargain price here too.
16. You've done a fantastic job there Fret. Very cool.
17. You have a PM sir
18. Alas, I fear I may not be able to justify another passive 5 string when my Yammy BB covers that territory so well!
19. Ooft. I'm not normally a huge fan of brightly coloured basses but that looks very classy. Excellent work sir.

Daft Question

Yep. Will do the same job, just the Darkglass has plenty more bells and whistles!
21. Tort all the way!
22. P.s. You may have to wait a while but buy used! Aguilar gear is stupidly expensive to buy new in the UK for some reason. Prices are offensive right now...
