  1. Lukeh, I am afraid both have gone but I have been lax in updating. Sorry.
  2. <checks bass rack - no space> This is the bargain of bargains. Fully loaded and frankly, they have got the aesthetic just right.
  3. Same. But make that 15 years or more.
  4. BC is now totally conflicted. On the one hand, "well done on achieving a state of UnGAS". On the other hand, "eh?".
  5. I feel your pain. The ONLY thing I do not like about my DB is my machine heads. Of course, my problem is that the ones I have fallen for would be an £800 purchase and then there is fitting. That is never going to happen.
  6. I have no idea if this has been done and I am afraid I do not have the time to wade through 107 pages! But I saw this and thought of this thread. https://retrovibe.co.uk/product/retrovibe-t30-telecaster-bass-30-6-short-scale-surf-blue-stunning/
  7. There are some DEEPLY weird headstocks out there. Someone has to design them. Some look as if they have been done in the dark. Control plates which are wooden. What gives?
  8. I do try and slip Teen Spirit in wherever I can, in whatever playing situation.
  9. I can already only hear that as "I sought The Lord, and The Lord won" and I have not even listened to the song.
  10. I thought that was just me with Gorilla Glue.
  11. It is difficult to fight the Physics. I guess that the answer is to be happy to play up an octave or more for when we want the synthy goodness. Obvioulsy this is sub-optimal, but physics is physics, and the reality is that a sound that is not bass guitar needs to be played differently anyway. I would be happy to play a normal guitar in some situations if there was a patch on there that "just" did a good, solid, believable bass guitar sound. Classic self-inducing GAS post from me here. On another note, I think they might have used the synth to pitch Nate's voice down a bit
  12. Dad sang the bass lines in our chapel. It was Welsh so 4 part harmony for everything. Not everyone wants to be like their dad. I did. So I picked up the lines and sang them an octave higher. There was also a full pipe organ there. All the low notes were magnificent. Who would want to make any other type of sound?
  13. Never mind the bassline, look at that sparkly guitar!
  14. Or just luxuriate in rhythm section family goodness.... https://waterbabymusic.bandcamp.com/album/pocket-change-2-mad-currency
  15. I do not really do Spotify. I get paralysed by choice. However, an ex-student's annual stats have just been pointed out to me. 225.8 million streams, 20.3 million listeners, 11.7 million hours listened. That would be 1335 calendar years if they were all played end to end. I cannot even begin to get my head around such numbers.
  16. Uh oh. I have a spare 5 string neck.......
  17. I have tried this. I can confirm that is it very cool, but at the same time EXTRAORDINARILY niche. It is not commensurate with laying it down.
