30m! OK that changes things on the 'just run a cable' front A second-hand monitor on FB marketplace which will be fine and dandy for this purpose will be £40.

If the iPad and the Mac are on the same wifi network then you can turn the iPad into a Logic remote control and put everything straight into Logic. All you will need is a cable long enough to go from the interface in the 'studio room' to wherever the Mac is. Recording things in two different places and then transferring them to the mixing computer is just creating work which does not need to happen.

I used to have a Peavey MIDIBass (or however you spell it). It was to be the bass to end all basses for me. Midi triggering was all they said it would be. It was just fine and dandy. It sucked as an actual bass guitars. I do wish I still had it though. Just another in a long line of instruments I was too lazy to delve in to properly. At least I am consistent. They were not uncommon, I wonder where they are now?

It has no charger. The keyboard is not happy. It needs a fresh instal of a suitable OS because it is not booting. The internet tells me this is possible. But it is way beyond me and I do not need it. After some TLC it would work fine with an external keyboard, mouse and monitor. The cost of postage takes it.

I have an SM58 which has become internally unatached. The wires going from the mic head have lost their moorings and the male XLR at the bottom has disappeared. I have an AKG D112 which is not working. Can anyone suggest someone who would actually mend these or am I just shouting into the void and spending money which could be better spent elsewhere? TIA

I am in no way qualified to comment in the way others on this thread are, but I am thinking mic technique here. The problem is that anyone who is told to do something differently will take it as "you are not good enough" when that is not the case. Perhaps a recording of the set to everyone and sit back and wait for comments? If all else fails a compressor to catch the "special" moments so at least they are less SHOUTY!
