Whilst I’ve never owned one, I’ve just been on a cruise and the band’s bassist, who I got to know , was playing a Pensa 5 active Jazz which sounded and looked amazing.

If I’m only allowed one then it would be a Taylor T5Z - oh yes I have one! So versatile, an acoustic internal pickup plus 2 humbuckers ( one is concealed under the fretboard), and being semi hollow it’s nice and light. In the past I’ve had a Hofner Club 40, Harmony Sovereign, Washburn H35 (335 clone), Aria Acoustic, Washburn PRS look alike, Takamine 12 Guild D45, Taylor 314, Taylor 12 string and currently K.Yaira New York 21, Taylor Builders Edition Grand Pacific. I like having guitars around, but favour acoustics, but still consider myself first and foremost a bass player.

That does look stunning, we look forward to seeing it attached to the body!

In the hands of Phil Cunningham, an accordion is brilliant. The bass playing in this song is pretty nifty too. I used to love driving through France with Silly Wizard blasting out of the cassette machine in my little Citroen. Ah, nostalgia is what it used to be.

The flattened off bottom under th logo and the Y tuners look out of place, it needs clover tuners limo.

I was about to post my Coda when I saw this. It may be even worse than the Korean version.

I did the tour of the Taylor factory in El Cajun a couple of years ago. Fascinating!

The shape does suit a bass, presumably short scale? There is something about it that reminds of the Rossetti 7 bass of the 60’s but nothing could be as bad as that bass.

I don’t need 8 basses of any type. I have 5 and that’s too many. When it comes to guitars I have 2 Taylor and a K.Yiari so pretty high end which I consider essential for acoustics.

Wipeout - The Chantays

The market here looks pretty turgid especially since Brexit and a certain short lived P.M. with rather different views of the economy. If you are prepared to travel over , then to bring in an instrument at least avoids the buyer having to pay the VAT and fees. Could be worth a punt putting a bass for sale on here and see how it goes, it won’t cost you a fortune. I believe there are some good deals on flights from time to time.
