  5. This is so true @Nice Guy Rich. If you offering praise to the King of the Universe, it needs to be the best you can possibly play/sing. As an aside, it’s really difficult for a congregation to get a lead from badly played music. I remember one time when a music group was endeavouring to play “Indescribable” but really weren’t getting close and someone said it was more like “Unrecognisable “. I hasten to add I was not in that band.
  6. Ain’t nobody here but us chickens- Louis Primo
  7. Me myself I - Joan Armourtrading
  8. I suppose the bonus here is you can oil your chopping board too!
  9. Bit hard on poor Jools! You have to admit though he has a fantastic band, they are all ace musicians. Seen them live loads of times and it’s always entertaining.
  10. I thought you were referring to a shortage of fivers (£5). 😆

  12. Poke salad Annie - Elvis
  13. Money for nothing - Dire Straits
  14. Thanks for the technical info. Never really understood that. It was of course created by none other than Les Paul as this was originally the Gibson Les Paul Signature bass from the seventies and was a low impedance pickup. Jack Casady rediscovered them and the Epiphone made by Peerless was the result.
  15. Euros are built in the Czech Republic and this certainly looks like a clone of a Spector.
  16. They don’t want any ric-raff playing them!
  17. Video killed the radio stars. - Buggles
  18. Boom boom John Lee Hooker
  19. Latchepen last Sunday. Superb guitar playing with a brilliant fiddle player and talented young upright bassist.
  20. Had 2 octave mandolas which are more comfortable to play than the bouzouki. My 2 had different scale lengths. Both now sold.
  21. Don’t you lie to me- Chuck Berry
  22. Ebony eyes - Everley Brothers
  23. I’ve owned both Czech & Korean made and I’d say there was little to choose between them. The Korean ones are made in a factory set up by Stuart and as far as I know still only make Spectors (unless the recent sale of the company has brought about changes).
  24. John Etheridge with Kit Holmes as support and a double act finale.
