  1. Thank you, @Bass Direct but I won’t hold my breath. I’ll stick with my Coda. 😆
  2. I’d reckon impossible to play finger style, a plectrum bass. I found I didn’t need a 12 string guitar so definitely don’t need a 12 string bass.
  3. Isn’t part of the problem the “successful” bands. They are seen playing Stratocasters, Telecasters, Les Pauls, 335s, Jazz and Precision basses, albeit possibly vintage ones but not much else. So understandingly aspiring musicians think that to sound like them they need those instruments, invariably cheaper copies, but something that at least looks similar. So the manufacturers provide for them in bucket loads! innovations don’t sell. There’s a history of disasters - Starcasters ( nice to see Snow Patrol using one on Strictly), auto tuners on Gibsons, the weird Roland midi bass, Rickenbacker 5 string basses, Gibson basses designed after 1970, need I go on. If you’re running a business, you need to make things that sell. Failures don’t make profits.
  4. Golden brown - The Stranglers
  5. Cracked shell punk
  6. No one has mentioned the Dimension, short lived but quite a nice shape and decent pickups. The Starcaster bass was also quite innovative or was it just a short scale version copy of the Les Paul Signature (later the Jack Casady).
  7. The night has a thousand eyes - Bobby Vee
  8. What’s Hybrid about them?
  9. That looks really interesting and I’d like to know how it performs for bass as it only has a 6.5 ins speaker + a tweeter. The other thing I’m unclear about is the battery, lithium ion, but is it a rechargeable or do you replace it/them when it’s expired after the 8 hours?
  10. Shades of Ibanez Roadster in the body shape - nice
  11. Heart full of soul - The Yardbirds
  12. I’m a man - Chicago ( Spencer a Davis Group & others)
  13. Sweets for my sweet - Searchers
  14. That’s a really nice piece of wood on the top of that bass 👍🏼
  15. Riding that bluegrass train - Sam Bush
  16. Good copy of a Godin
  17. There was I thinking you wanted Hava Nagila ! 🤪
  18. Stagg is not a brand that is well considered. It’s generic for all sorts of instruments made in the far east and badged Stagg. For £150 look on the marketplace here for a brand that is a guitar maker. Many instruments are made by far east factories and then badged but QC by the brand.
  19. Live and let die - Wings
  20. Play an electric upright, you don’t have to hold them at all, the stand does it for you. 👍🏼
  21. Sunshine of my life - Stevie Wonder
  22. Midnight hour - Otis Reading
  23. And when will lawyers from Warwick and Gibson be sending “stop and desist” letters?
  24. Result, @Bef, did you get shown how to do this yourself? If not check YouTube for instructions as it may change when you put on new strings or sometimes with the weather. Adjusting the truss rod isn’t hard, take a look.
  25. My Gibson EB5 has a super shallow neck.
