  1. And excepting Big noise from Winnetka
  2. Inside looking out - The Animals
  3. Happened to me on the Fender Jazz 5 string I had and it was fitted with Shaller strap locks! The strap lock nut came unscrewed, bass hit the ground take a chunk of paint off and also knocked the lap top flying I was reading from (it wasn’t my regular band).
  4. Were not some of the ‘80’s Squier Ps 32”scale?
  5. Crawling king snake - John Lee Hooker
  6. Drums every time. For a while I was playing bluegrass, what a pleasure no drummers at all.
  7. Now the built in stand is a definite must of a mod 😁
  8. Rat trap - Boon Town Rats
  9. Nice grain in the body. Sadly not in the market at present.
  10. Didn’t the original Guild ones have a built in stand that folded out of the back?
  11. Wild thing - The Troggs ( & Hendrix)
  12. The wind cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix
  13. I’ve owned 3 over the years. Ibanez Roadstar; Fender Precision; Spector Spectorcore 5. Now I only have a NS NXT electric upright as my fretless. I do keep thinking it would be nice to have another fretless to use when the upright feels a bit too big. But to achieve that one of the 4 fretted would need to go, perhaps I should change a neck 🤔
  14. Cats in the cradle - Harry Chapin
  15. Keep on running - Spencer Davis Group
  16. Well, the things I didn’t know about Ricky’s! Thanks to all you backers 😆
  17. Didn’t know they used Grovers ever. If it is an old one it seems to be in pristine Nick.
  18. Been watching the YouTube footage of the Searchers final final gig. Frank Allen is playing a Jetglo Ricky, not hie usual 51 style P, but the machine heads look a very odd shape. They don’t look like cloverleaf. Is he playing a fake?
  19. I heard it through the grapevine - Marvin Gaye
  20. Last night in the Palau da Musica, Barcelona, Ignasi Terraza, a Spanish jazz pianist who I had never heard of before, but was superb. He was joined by an excellent vibraphone player and later a singer and a flautist/ sax player. All superb and in possibly the most beautiful concert hall on the world.
  21. That bass with the ridiculously narrow strap he has must have taken its toll on his shoulder.
  22. I just read this again and noticed that you say your “Casady” is a Peerless - snap! Although I like to think of them as replica Les Paul Signature basses.
