  1. I’m curious, is there any point in having the body extend to the 12th in that way? Does it improve sustain or something? It must add considerably to the weight of the instrument.
  2. Curious it says “unbranded”. Headstock has TR and the T looks like the Tanglewood logo.
  3. Black is black — Los Bravos
  4. I seem to remember the original Guild version had a built in stand on the back. Now that would be a useful innovation.
  5. Who knows where the time goes - Sandy Denny
  6. Very 60’s
  7. Don’t I remember that not so long ago you were going all 6 string Ibanez, then you reverted back to 4 string Jazz basses and now you’re going short scale! What’s with the big changes @FinnDave?
  8. When a man loves a woman - Percy Sledge

  13. Having sold my Rebop and traded my Spectorcore I have been without a Spector for a while. But now my very generous brother has offered to give me his Coda so when he brings down in July I’ll be a Spector player again 😆
  14. Homeward bound- S&G
  15. @Old Horse Murphy don’t you have an eub as well as those 4. When I bought your NS mono stand I recall you mentioning that you were changing to a Yamaha?
  16. You’ll probably get better definition if you don’t play with your fingers crossed 🤣🤞
  17. Surfing safari - those (rather elderly) boys again.
  18. Furry across the Mersey - Gerry & The Pacemakers
  19. Chris bought a spare machinehead from me and now wants the other one. He’s really easy to deal with. 😆👏👍🏼
  20. There is a correct height, the following is from the Fender Support page online: Setting pickups too high can cause a number of unusual occurrences. Depress strings at last fret. Using a 6" (150 mm) ruler, measure the distance from the bottom of the first and fourth strings to top of the pole piece. A good rule of thumb is that the distance should be greatest at the fourth-string neck pickup position and closest at the first-string bridge pickup position. Follow the measurement guidelines from the chart below as starting points. The distance will vary according to the amount of magnetic pull from the pickup. Note: Larger string gauges need wider vibrational allowances. If you have a five-string bass or are using heavier-gauge strings, your measurements must be increased accordingly. 21. I think you should interpret the songs your way, although there are exceptions where the bass riff is so obvious, e.g. My Girl or Midnight hour.
  22. That’s interesting, sort anticipates the Gibson Les Paul Signature Bass/ Jack Cassidy finishes. Suits it.
  23. She’s not there - The Zombies
  24. That is a really good looking bass, the woods are great and that weight is unbelievable.
  25. Handsome, great shade of blue.
