  1. What is it with people in their 80’s. It’s not like they haven’t got pensions, just retire, and that goes for US presidents and wannabes.
  2. knock off the 0, it’s just a piece of shaped plywood!
  3. Bad moon rising - CCR

  7. Young girl - Gary Pucket and the Union Gap
  8. Slightly narrower than my Precision, 18mm I think but I’ll check tomorrow.
  9. This urban wood seems to be a bit of a thing for US makers. Taylor are making a thing of it for their acoustics.
  10. I’ve always admired Pedulla basses since first seeing Mark Egan use one. However this looks a bit of a handful, GLWI.
  11. Hair - the cast of the musical
  12. It had to be you - Frank Sinatra

  15. Crying in the rain - Everley Brothers
  16. It looks like the one used by the bassist in the Dave Clark 5 back in the day when I think they were sponsored by Vox. Seemed to alternate between one of these and a teardrop bass. Later he moved onto a Fender P.
  17. Sugar and Spice - The Searchers
  18. I had told my wife I wanted Alison Krauss’ “Away down the river” but I may change my mind. This probably wouldn’t leave a dry eye in the house.
  19. I had a Roadstar fretless which looked much like the Blazers shown above. All maple lined neck. It was much lighter than my 76 P bass and sounded great. When I stripped the body, fancying a natural finish, it turned out to be a sandwich construction the facings of which were ply . It was probably the cheapest version of that series it it was a really good bass.
  20. Coda 4 - my birthday present.
  21. No doubt there’ll be plenty of Gold JCs to come, so I’ll get in first with my Peerless Bassmaster Player.
  22. I do when playing in church, straight to a digital desk (Heath I think). It’s ok but I find the tones very limited possibly because the sound man (several of them) don’t really have a lot of ideas on sounds from basses.
  23. A BACKBUCKER. I guess if you e q it enough it’ll ok.
