1. You can get it easily on eBay - look for "conductive adhesive copper" Item 360195343162 is an example You could alternatively put a blob of solder on the edge of each piece of tape and check continuity
2. eight handed bass solo and three lovely ladies who can also sing Awesome
3. Brilliant in its entirety
4.
I cracked the finish on my US Std when drilling for the bridge cover. I later discovered the trick of using some masking tape on the area and drilling into that. Not tried it myself but it should help if you do another!
That can work but a really sharp drill bit is more important
5. This is mine https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F1B48FF289BAE6D2!557&authkey=!AI7gaYTXDBcOhac&v=3&ithint=photo%2cJPG Built by the bass doc to resemble a 70s p. I love it although the neck is a bit of a handful , pup is from a mex classic 50s Has that ponderous clanky dort of tone
6. I did get this happen once (mind you I've only played live twice) and it was from a guitard who told me I "sounded immense" (playing a stingray clone on flatbed through a small ampeg combo). Everyone was clapping along so it can't have been too far out. Told said guitard that I'd made loads of errors but he hadn't noticed apparently
7. Pretty much gas free I do hanker for a fiver once in a while but usually stop myself realising that I don't devote enough time/get enough time to practice anyway . I have a precision, acoustic and a stingray clone and it's enough One day I will try fretless, eub, fiver etc Mind you a really big stack would massively annoy my teenage son...
8. Sounds like you're doing ok to me
9.
That really takes some beating, for someone to go through an audition and then walk off with stuff, beyond belief. Too late to go to the police now, but would be interesting to see if he is actively looking for a band - could set up another audition with a fake band and a mate's phone number and see if he applies?! Does the GK just take standard power cables? I could stick you one in the post as I have a couple of spares.
Put up a fake ad and see if he tries again ? Then you can make him a sandwich (hint of knuckle)
10.
Just had a look, these are Wizard Hammer pickups, link to the (now Hot Rod) blurb below: http://www.hotrodguitarparts.com/jb-hammer-jazz-bass-pickup-569-p.asp
If I wasn't moving house and there was no three bass rule, I'd be mentioning encroaching birthdays... Sorry
11. As Kate bush said, "don't give up" If it's not shifting it just means the right person hasn't seen it yet at a price they like
12. I've had several and wouldn't change them unless they were broken or defective in some serious way
13. They are just being ambitious Never give up. Never.
14. such a cloud of negativity... congratulations to BlueJay
15. Bugger - I knew what it meant too, send my badge too please Have a free bump for a hot relic bass that I'd love to own
16. A very nice fender jazz 75 reissue cij Natural with rosewood board and pearl blocks
17. A slice of washing-up sponge works fine
18. having played both, I'd say there isnt a lot in it, especially not enough to justify the more-than-double price jump
19. Yes mine was fine so suggest strings at a lighter gauge also
20.
I'm a bass player but play guitar also... Never in a band though ..... I'm fairly proficient but I stick to what I know in terms of a band environment.
Me also. I dont see how noticing what a guitard is doing and being able to think about it for a moment and do something appropriate, rather than rely on your ear when he's done it, can possibly be a bad thing. No one is asking you to actually touch one of the evil skinny-string things...
21.
Thank you, it's not an abrasion - it's where the paint has 'flaked off', the bare wood is unmarked, so it could be the grain you are seeing. No idea why the paint is flaking, it' was like that when I got her
Dont be sad, i absolutely love the look and if i had the spare cash (ie no children to support) i would be beating the door down
22. Beautiful Love the natural relic, can you tell me how the abrasions on front by the top horn happen ? Curious
23. Dear god....
24.
Do you have any info about the year / specs?
Only from my memory - no paper copy It would have been about 1990; there was white, black, sunburst, and pink (as in girlie pink) There is an owners club on Facebook-did you know ?
