1. Great job Mark. It looks Fantastic. I'm with young master Discreet about the white scratchplate, quite fancy one on my modded PB-50
2. Nearly a year since I posted their release over on the Harley Benton forum nobody's came forward to say they've got one Granted it's mostly guitar players there. The PJ is a big seller,#19 in the P-bass sales figures top 20. I'll ask over on Bassic.ch one of our German cousins must have one.
3. Brilliant Biglump. Keep us up to date on events.
4. Blue Then why the uncertainty over whether it was shipped or not ?
5. Blue Do the words "paid for shipping" and "import duty" mean something different in America ?
6. Always want to do "Irish Drinking Song (As Far As I Know) " with it's rousing chorus of "drink an drink an drink an fight !! " Somehow I get over-ruled
7. Been a fan of Rotos for years.Nexus are on a few of my basses. Regarding the eBay prices, the firm that supplied the paper envelopes changed the paper to one that held moisture. That lead to problems, could be the eBay ones are the old stock. Just a guess.
8. Only ever seen them as International's Andy. Course Peavey do have form for this. The Form was a passive PJ, got dropped and came back as an active with VFL. Why the hell would they reuse the name ? It's more in keeping with Zephyrs or Korean Furys.
9. So obviously an International I can't think why they didn't list it as one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262313641565?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Decent price including the case.
10. Stoatin'! Yes indeed
11. Best policy going for a refund. Put TI's on the Super Ferrite fella last night,it's now Super Slinky too. I'm quite worn out by all racing about I felt compelled to do
12. They got one of the easiest returns policy going so just return it but now you had it have a think it you want it replaced or a refund. @discreet It certainly is the fabled Peavey Super Ferrite. I gave up hope of finding another for a spare Foundation body that's lying around here, also hid the nasty mess I'd made attempting to fit a toaster.Hammer and chisel is not the best way to rout out a pickup
13. Here's one of mine, shame about the screw holes.
14. Within an hour of unboxing mine I was ordering a set of Status tapes. Massive improvement to the bass IMO. The mate I gave the deko one to went for D'Addario chromes. Strings make all the difference I think.
15. Excellent choice Mr Discreet. You're obviously a man of outstanding taste !! OK I have to say that having bought multiples of these It's a strange thing those D'Addarios as if ever a bass performed better with flats or tapes the PB-50 is it. Happy NBD
16. It's the Peavey Sarzo with me. Lovely bass, feels great but I can't get used to the tone. Plenty of string changes before I give up though
17. That could be Martin Gordon. He was a Ric man. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Gordon
18. Wont be long before you find out. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
19. Aye it was like that on arrival. There's a year or so between the two, maybe the other one will catch up I've seen some lovely bits of wood on HB's.
20. With photos getting posted, might as well put mine up On the left with the Peavey SF and right with the nylons.,it also has an aged look to the fretboard.
21. Aye it's strange alright,it's 1100 odd mile to Totana. The couriers have set rates up to certain size and weights. Two week back wee practise combo 4 Kg 30x20x30 going to England was £12.80,last week a head 70x40x35 & 23Kg was £12.80. I do remember getting a £60 quote for the Totana run. Those Prague prices were high,Fend3r sent me a T-40 from Sofia and it was only £30.
22. Congratulation and 10 out of 10 for the frugal shopping. I've had the JB-75 for coming on 2 year,if I was going fretless that fella's the one I'd choose.
