  1. Hey! Long time no see!! Here is a short clip from a rehearsal of my new band called Deer Lodge. Song was written that day, so no name yet Bit generic, but I use loads of octave "chords" and just hit the stinky poo out of the strings! We're based near Brighton, and gigs will be coming soooooon. https://www.instagram.com/p/B1Wz9CYnIGx/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
  2. Thank you Dannybouy, I really appriciate that! This is what forums are for! 😃👍 I’ve been a bassist for almost 20 years, and was a strict “no effects whatsoever” kind of guy for many years.. And retrospectively, that was such a dumb move, as I know next to nothing about pedals 😭 I have the sound in mind that I want...a happy medium of the crack of “Panic Station” by Muse, and the fat sludge of “Out Of The Black” by Royal Blood. However, being a skint musician, I need to work with a tight budget. LS-2 about £60 odd second hand I see...
  3. Oh man, I just checked out review videos for that LS-2....that’s EXACTLY what im looking for! Thank you!! Yeah I was thinking about phase issue too...if the quality drop is minimal then I’m not fussed, but if it sounds weak then I’ll need to figure somet else
  4. Hey! I seem to have one of those conundrums where I can find lots of info, but nothing specific enough 😏 Right, I play bass in a three piece rocky/riffy band (called Hot Moth...check us out 😉). What I want to do is split my passive bass signal into two mono jacks...have one jack going through a guitar Boss OD-3 and adding nice crunch to the signal, and having the other jack going into an EQ pedal to shape a nice lower end on the clean signal. Then what I’m wondering is can I converge these pedals back into one jack as one output into an amp? Hopefully impeadance wouldn’t be too much of a problem.
  5. I have the above for sale. The neck pickup is a genuine Seymour Duncan SJB 3N Quarter Pounder...an absolute brute of a pickup! It's passive, but has a gainy growl. The bridge pickup is actually not connected to the electronics at all...it's just a crap pickup for show...you can obviously replace this with another pickup. But for now, this bass has the neck pickup as the only working pickup. This was originally an off-white coloured bass, however about two years ago, I painted over it in black, and clear lacquered over the top. Being my first attempt at laquering, it's not perfect, and there are some small spots that are either not fully painted, or have some "drip". If you're like me, you'll want to customise your own basses, so the paint job could be an extra project for you! Apart from the pickups, everything else on this bass is original. A bit of buckle rash on the neck plate, and some scuffs on the top of the headstock, also some marks on the side of the neck due to sweat and lots of playing The frets are smooth and a little worn due to afore mentioned playing. Also, the reason that I have pieces of string holding the balls of the main strings in the bridge is that they were cheap strings from eBay (which actually sound good!), but the balls were too small for the bridge holes...but all other strings are fine (I've used Fender, Ernie Ball and Rotosound). Great instrument that will last for a very long time. Will post to mainland U.K with a courier for extra £6. Paypal or internet banking (I've sold loads on here before, so no worries there)

Really great little amp thats small enough for me to put in a rucksack to take to gigs. It has a few scratches and scuffs on the casing from gigging, but nothing horrid, and nothing that affects the sound at all. Sounds really warm and the simple EQ controls are easy to dial in different sounds. I'm afraid that I don't have a cab at the moment, so if you want to try this out, then bring your cab along if you can! Comes with power cable, and an unused 3m speaker cable that's jack to Speakon. £150 (will post for extra £5) Have sold loads on here, so I'm kosher with bank details I live on Coombe Road in Brighton. Here is the full spec from website: RMS power output: 350W @ 4 ohms Preamp: Solid-state Power amp: Class D Tone controls: bass, mid, treble Onboard limiter Balanced direct out FX loop 1/8” headphone out / line in -15db input pad Power supply: switching Dimensions (H x W x D inches) : 2 x 11 x 11 in 69 x 275 x 272 mm Handling weight: 8 lbs / 3.6 kg

Great bass that has served me well the last few months. (I'll upload a pic of me playing it too) It's a short-scale bass which makes the fretting even easier for small-ish hands like mine! The bass is in great condition, and I will clean it thoroughly before selling. One major point to note is that the previous owner had the neck repaired....standard for Gibson/Epiphone basses and guitars to snap at the neck. The repair is a beautiful job, and it's almost un-noticable. I had trouble even trying to get a photo of the join. There are a few barely visible pick scratches on the front and some light buckle rash on the back. There is a small scuff on the front that I'll take a photo of, but nothing bad at all. Another point is that the truss rod cover is missing I'm afraid. And also, for some reason, the previous owner fitted a left-handed nut on the bass...I was going to get around to changing it, but to be totally honest with you, it's not been a problem whatsoever! Nice deep and woody tone from the single humbucker, and a real old-skool sound. £120 including express postage. I will take either Paypal gift, or I can swing you my bank details. I've sold on here many times, so I'm kosher Matt

Bought for my girlfriend, but she used it only once!! I have set it up properly (I set up guitars and basses regularly), so it plays really well! And for a "starter" guitar, it really does sound nice. Has that classic sound that we've all heard over the last 60 years. Barely a mark on it. Beautiful shiny black colour. Comes with strings already on the guitar, plus a spare set of strings, plectrum, strap, and lead. I have unscrewed the tremolo arm and taken it off so that is doesn't get bent in transit. Comes in original box, and I will pack it securely. A wonderful guitar for a beginner, but good enough to be a spare for a touring professional in my opinion. £65 including postage
