1. I wanted to hump the daughter of a husband and wife guitar duo, so we got a crap band together where i played bass....by which point the daughter had found someone else - i then changed bands
2. Haha wicked i'm playing this on Sunday. For the first time in years me & a drummer have organised a 7 piece FUNK ensemble too tickle our funk glands and see if they still exist having been in the dub for so long!!! - we're hoping to have a casual funk every month. Stratus was a tune mentioned to learn, along with Cissy Strut, Starsky & Hutch, Lonnie liston's Smith's 'Expansions' and er i think Chameleon oh and Fred Wersley's 'Fourplay'....I'm after music for the middle bit in Starsky & Hutch by the way (too lazy to work it out) - also need to work out the Stratus outro - It is a mother of a tune on the wrist that main riff, endurance! Suggestions for tracks for our 'Learner' funk (or rejuvenating old funkateers) welcome......
3. Bloody bargain!!! I've put delano's in my Jazz, superb pick ups!!!
4. Gonna see if i can re-start the old funk gland with a couple of old mates soon. I'm looking for the transcriptions or tab or whatever for Starsky & Hutch theme (JTQ), The middle breakdown bit in Chameleon (not the main groove, i've worked that out easily enough) & The outro on Billy Cobhams 'Stratuss' (I haven't listened to this for a while but i think i know the other bits) Also any suggestions for simple instrumental funk covers (we got sax & keys aswell as drums & geeeetar) ? Much thanks

A dub remix

A half decent trip hop/dub remix of one of my band Dubclass's tracks Gonji ina Dub - Hope you like it?
6. Yeah all fitted, its not the four knob deluxe version but the three knob, all knobs though are there too. Very simple change over as solderless, it has screw terminals. Jack is on the plate so just a simple swap over job - no drilling or need to make any holes etc. Some review stuff here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=429951
7. SOLD: Got this recently on a bass that i bought from here, although it is an amzing piece of kit it's probably a bit adavanced for my needs - i'm more of a simplez passive guy. More info here: http://www.bestbassgear.com/acg-eq-02-j.htm £90 includes P&P
8. Used last night at a reggae/dub rehearsal......wow- i was actually planning to use this just for rehearsal with my Ampeg being my main rig! First time i've ever had to turn the bass dial down, very phat sounding. I like the bits of valve vibe too although i like a smoothish phat tone but the valves give a lovely smooth warmth that i love. I Used the Bass Terror into an Ampeg SVT4x10HLF using a Mex jazz with Delano pick ups fitted. Love it!
9.
Running mine through an Ampeg 410 HLF cab and its very loud!
I have exactly the same set up, phat as!!! And i've just put my new Delano pick ups in my jazz....amazing sound, can't wait to gig it.
10. I had one of these in black and i miss it dearly. Needless to say i'm skint but have a bump anyhooo for my momentary reminiscence
11. I've joined the club...this amp is totally me, love it!

13. Would it be anygood for reggae ?
14. I've recently bought one of the new MIM 2010 range, its just a standard that i got second hand....spent most of the day trying out several Jazz's including MIA's....came away with this mex (maple neck), plays and sounds great to me
15. Now for sale, i think £360 is reasonable with Markbass bag+P&P - pics available on request.
16. Lots of PM's & replied...still ere'
17. Just bought a new bass fretless bass that i really loved so i've got to sell these to cover my costs before the wife divorces me: Here's the tech info on the 50's P http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0303080502 & Info on the Vm Jazz fretless http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0326608500 Both guitars are really good condition maybe the odd tiny mark but nothing at all major, in fact the fretless is like new. Pictures availalbe on request, just PM me you email. I think i may have lost the finger rest on the 50's P but i'm sure i can dig it out. I will sure miss the CV Precision but will probably buy another when i can afford one. Fretless plays like a dream...just read the reviews! No cases but will be very well packed, bubblewrapped and boxed & sent insured bargain £150 each plus £20 P&P (No trades) - Here for a week before the evilbay
18. I think i'm getting a name for myself as being consistently wrong in my facts, spelling, and the naming of bass gear . It is indeed a 50's P - i've taken the pickguard off mine and its lovely all blue!!! http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0303080502
19. Cheers guys, I'm really looking forward to receiving them now. Have spent the last hour reading stuff on TB and the consensus seems all good from what i have read so far. I'll update/review when i've got them put in my jazz if anyones interested?.
20. oh dear, no one heard of Delano
21. Got the VM Squire off Gust0o in the end for a good price, like new also. Plays really well, good Jaco tone on the bridge although i cannot play like Jaco for shizzle. All round very impressive, smooth play good warmth from the neck pick up too - well worthy of a try folks if they have one in your local muso store.
