Recent new bass means one out (Mrs rules...you know the score). So sadly this great great bass is to go. Lovely maple neck, good looker and vintage vibes too. Its from the vintage series. Plays really well indeed and has a nice 34" scale. The previous owner fitted a brass nut which adds a nice touch too. Now has new set of strings. Offers around £100 -bargain for a great bass (will be well wrapped in guitar box for postage)

I tried the Biffy Squiro CV bass today in Mansons..I think its definately on the cards for a future purchase for me- The Biffy mainly for the colour as i have a LPB Lakland & the CV 51 P-i have no interest in Biffy Guiro. Again a totally amazing quality bass to play. I tried a road worn Mex that was just under 1K and i was left very unimpressed compared to the Squire. I then picked up a USA Jazz too, it was ok but not worth the extra money over the Squire. I am sooooo impressed with these Squires!
Hey Rasta ! How is it for reggae - as deep as the front pup on a jazz bass ?
Hi Steve, not tried it for reggae as such but we do some dubby stuff in the prog outfit (Ozrics, Gong kinda thing) that i jammed with lastnight and it sounded soooo nice and warm with good defintion-not muddy. Hard to say if it matches the jazz pu but i am going to gig it this weekend with Steppaz so will road test the dubbness then. The qualtiy though of the bass in unlike any Squire i've ever played before-very smooth and like a bass costing 3 times as much-i wasn't expecting it to be this good. You will definitely like the lightness too....not sure on the weight but a lot lighter than the average jazz.
Welcome to the CV fold!
Impressive collection there mate. How does the jazz rate against the 51p in terms of quality etc ....are all the CV's really amazing? If so i could join you in the all squire vibe!

Well, well, well....i believe the hype. I scored a cheapish second hand Squire CV 51P bass...i'm blown away how well it plays...even as stock! Jammed it this evening at 'my other' band and wow what a incredible, well made, simple yet sexy bass.....very happy. Think i may have to try the CV jazz now when i save some pennies. Sadly i was a little dissappointed with a recent VM Squire that i had but the CV seems leagues ahead in terms of of build quality. I'm a Squire CV convert....another to the list.

Shameless plug but i have some Hartke love HERE that i'm looking to trade - ideally for a smaller amp such as Markbass/Genz etc. Must admit though i'm a big fan of the Hartke stuff with my first 'proper' amp being the 3500. The LH's are superb in every way too.

Eden WT800A, working but has a fault so going cheap

I've got an Eden WT800A which simply is not getting used since the arrival of my Ampeg. A little bit of history: I bought this amp second hand around 4 years ago ish; some time after i had a problem where both speakers cut out momentarily and then came back on again within a minute or so. The amp came back on and never faultered for some time-at this time i was using 2x4ohm cabs on both channels. Then i used the Eden pretty much every week on the bridged 8ohm output using a 6ohm Warwick cab (this was ok'd by Eden to run a 6ohm cab but no lower)-it ran great and very loud without a hitch. Then i did the Markbass thing 18 months ago for a while and sold the Eden onto another basschatter-the fault reappeared so i refunded him and got the amp back. The amp has cut out on me recently but with a light hit on the top it came back on immediately-maybe something loose-eq overload light came on? Anyhow i did plan to get it serviced and fixed but have never got around to it. Currently it plays fine, i've cranked it up and rehearsed a couple of times with it too 3-4 months ago-no problems. So the issue is intermittent. I haven't really got the money or time to get it serviced at the moment so i am putting it up for sale with the buyer knowing it has these issues. Could run ok without a hitch again or maybe a cheap fix - cheap Eden WT800A!!! I paid alot of money for it 4 years ago but i am asking for £150 + p&p - need the money to get a mountain bike to get fit.
just to give you some help on selling. i use one of these with my V4 and it sounds incredible. perfect for me. loads of punch, bottom and top end as well. cant go wrong, great cabs!
+1 - I love them so much i've been using two of them with my SVT Pro 4 (although 1 is definitely enough for most gigs), best 4x10's on the market IMO.
