16.
As monstrous as they come....repetive yes, groove yes...RSI yes.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYH4PC710ac
Yes mate, great tune indeed. I've started jammin this tune with a few mates in a casual funk thang although for RSI sake i want to do a shortened version Do you, or anybody, know how to play the outro...i still haven't worked it out....probably mainly down to sheer laziness and lack of talent. This is a heavy funk line and i still have this album on vinyl, one of the first albums i ever owned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuIjGCgPDuM&feature=fvw Live version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8_oOQTNCzU Also check a tune called Bad tune...heavy...oh and Bad! Love this classic too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=je5aTUS8DhU
17. I don't analyze others playing too much these days, what difference to the world does it make?. I really get off on watching players do stuff that i can't such as the Jaco or Wooten styles though. I also try to be open to other genre's respecting what they do even if not to my tastes for example thrash metal players - i appreciate their speed and energy etc. I beleieve we're all bass players here some more accomplished on techniques, others have better groove/feel, and some are beginners whilst others are outright hilarious etc....but most of all we're an alliance and should stick together.
18. Le bump (ebay January )

20. I've got a 4st jazz made up of an all parts maple neck with pearl inlays with Fender logo, i think a its mex lake placid blue body, Tort pickguard, Lindy PU's and a Badass and i gotta say it the the best jazz i've played and love it more than any Fender i've owned....its a freakenstein and not a 'real' Fender but i love it to bits (for now )
21. Thanks Jon for a painless sale of the Hartke cab, enjoy. A great chap to deal with folks....deal in confidence as they say.
22. Bought an Orange Sp210 of Al, nice chappy and a good deal. Thanks Al & Merry Christmas
23. I guess for me it depends what kind of music your playing. I recently backed a reggae artist who had written most of his deep dubby b-lines on synth and a lot of the tunes had low D's & Db's so i used my Laky JO5 and loved it, still do. But i found if i was going to a funky jam/open mic i found i would get too complacent on the JO5 and would become lazy and admittedly sometimes thumbing that B thinking it was the E, mainly after a few beers though . For me there is something rewarding about the 4 string and the challenge of less possibilites compared to 5's & 6's but i'd still always need a 5 in my life, even if its collecting dust like mine at the moment.
24. Pm's replied, still for sale
Why didnt you mention the enormous hole underneath the pickguard.. The square hole seems to be cut out with a hamer and a screwdriver.. almost as huge as the pickguard itselve and more than a centimeter deep. The neck is good though. A stingray neck for 850£ anyone ? Comes with a piece of trash wood attached to it..
Hi there, really sorry to hear about this. I had no idea that there was a hole under the pickguard as i have never had the pickguard off, that is the truth. I'm really surprised as that was never mentioned when i bought it from another Basschatter over a year ago. Do you have any pictures? What would you wish to do?
