1. I think the old samples were on Statii website/forum. Ill see what I can do but I'm not really a payer any more so may not do it justice!
 2. Hi there. The pickups are fed through a volume control for each pickup and then on to a two-band EQ. An EQ by-pass switch is also fitted so you can select the "flat" sound of the bass. according the Status....from what I recall the soap bar gives it a normal warm sound with a bit of acoustic feel but when the piezo is on its in another world, combining a sparkly, crisp somewhat metallic tone when used without the soap bar and with it there is an amazing bend of tones. Its fitted with roundwound strings at the moment. Ill see what I can do re sound clips but I seem to recall there were some kicking around a while ago. I may be able to upload them but I'm a bit of a luddite. I have a Rob Allen Mouse that is similar although shorter, with no F hole so I'm going to keep that and my S2 for if and when I do start playing again.
 3. Hi all .I am selling my as new Status Electro 4 bass. I had it made about 5 years ago and literally, for a variety of personal reasons did not play it. It hung on a wall. Its been played for an hour or so in total, which is a real shame, but there we go. So, its got a carbon fibre lined fretless neck with a drop D tuner on the back of the headstock. This thing stays in tune for months. It has a custom Walnut book matched facing woods, looks incredible. Its hollowed out so of course looks like a status but with a lovely acoustic tome. If you like that kind of thing of course. It has a soapbar and a piezo pickup. The sound is just lovely whether on either or both of the pickups. It is in totally mint condition and comes in a red velvet lined status (Hiscox) hard case. It was custom made for me and cost about 3k. If you want more pics, just let me know. I am a Brit living in the Netherlands so if you are from the UK and want this bass I will bring it over with me on one of my many trips back. if you are from mainland Europe then we can sort it out easily enough. Cheers
 4. Thanks mark, good to meet up. Cheers
Don't be put off by the newbie status, I have just met up with this guy to buy his hartke rig off him. HE IS 100%!. Nice bloke and honers a deal. a true B C' er
5. Hi Are you still looking? First thing - talented, hmmm, do you mean a reader, if so, I'm out! However, if you are south or central B'ham I could be interested. I've just got back from living overseas so I've not been ina band for a few years but previously wa sina 12 piece soul band, which was fun. Interests in terms of music are almost anything from Rush style rock, Ska, 80's New Wave, japan/Mick Karn, Roy Ayers soul/jazz etc. Kit wise I've been selling off a lot and am settled on a status 4 string solid body, a status electro acoustic fretless and soon a Rob Allen custom short scale fretless which gives a double bass sound. Age, a lively 40 somethuign. let me know Cheers Andy
Hello We need a dedicated and talented bass player, to add their own sound and ideas to our music. We have loads of original finished material, that we are currently working on with lead vox + keys, guitar + bvox and drums. We want to gig and then record as soon as we can. Check our myspace- www.myspace.com/rosemarymusic You will have to use your imagination with some of the songs as some of them are acoustic. Our genre is pop/folk/alt rock Contact me at [email protected] thanks for looking, Rosie
6. Hi Mate I may consider the postal option depending on the outcome of the expressions of interest. I was after 1000 minimum but would prefer a bit more if I can get it. Give it a couple of days and I'll let you know. I wont put it on ebay if there are so many possible customers on the forum, wouldnt' be fair. Cheers
P to the M'd
7. Further info for you all. it is S/N A01391, one of 713 maple necked basses in this limited edition. 6 bolt plate on the back and 3 band EQ. Please ignore any pics of handbags, trees or cats that I may have inadvertently posted!!!!
I am selling my mint condition 1996 Musicman Stingray 20th Anniversary 4 string. I gather that not that many were made. The bass comes complete with original case in great condition. The finish is truly excellent, a cut above a standard Musicman with gorgeous flamed maple top and tiger stripe maple neck and fingerboard. This is set off with the translucent tortoishell glued on pickguard and chrome controls. The bass was sat in a studio for many years and with me has spent most of it's time in the case or hanging on the wall! I can send the S/N and more photos if anyone is interested. I'll put it on ebay in a couple of weeks if it doesnt sell here. I need the funds to go towards a new Rob Allen bass I've got on order. I'm looking to get at least 1000 for it. I'm really sorry but I can't upload any more pics. I'm trying to do it from my Mac and it is driving me up the wall. Can anyone advise me of a lo-tec solution?
8.
Might be an idea to put up a price to save it going to ebay. Is the purple handbag part of the deal?
I know, I cant work the flippin I photo file structure out and my missus' damaged handbag came out!

Thanks for all your advice, if the following link works you can see a few more pics of the bass. http://www.flickr.com/photos/57761722@N07/?saved=1 I want to get 1000 minimum but would prefer to get 1150 if at all possible. The S/N is A01391 and it is one of 713 Maple necked fretted 20th anniversary models made. It has a 3 band EQ and a 6 bolt plate on the back. You can't really make out the flame/quilt in all t he pics but it really is fab. Also, the neck and fingerboard are kind of tiger stripped (bit like an old LesPaul) which just makes it even better. The Tolex is in near mint condition as well.
