  1. Bas bought my pedal - great comms, totally hassle free. Deal with confidence! Enjoy the pedal!
  2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  3. I’d always use a compressor with monitoring LED’s and as many parameters as possible. I use the Empress Compressor but this one is pretty good too.
  4. This is the place to get them done - great service and much cheaper. I even got my right one coloured red (red for right) so if I need to whip them in in a hurry mid set / song I can do it without trying to figure out which ear is which!! -15 shouldn’t cause you any trouble with hearing your band mates talk or hearing your bass. It just brings everything down to a manageable volume. Honestly believe that most people’s issues with them are psychological - too me a while to get used to having them in - felt odd / wierd being a bit isolated from band but it’s great when you get used to them. Somebody mentioned too about bringing the bass forward. My opinion is that when you use earplugs it really reduces all the top end of the cymbals which really strains the ears and as a result everything clears up and the bass becomes much clearer
  5. Creeper bought my Wonderlove pedal - great comms, quick transaction, did all he said he would do. Another sale with another excellent BC-er. Deal with confidence Enjoy the squelchy noises!!
  6. I use these https://m.thomann.de/gb/sommer_cable_spirit_xs_highflex_02.htm?o=61&search=1552464553 not cheap but super high quality and I’ve never had any issues with them on any of my boards. Don’t skimp on cables, you’ll regret it when you’re pulling your board to pieces 5mins before the gig trying to find the crackling from one of many leads!!
  7. Good shout. Does it have a DI out too?
  8. The Bass-switch is GREAT....BUT the two channels are not the same EQ wise....
  9. Except the OP is in ears so I don’t think an amp head would work....unless it was able to run without a load then maybe....but still it’s a slightly clunky solution. He needs a board with a DI on really I think....
  10. https://www.andertons.co.uk/providence-dbs-1-dual-bass-station-pedal-prodbs?LGWCODE=PRODBS;56375;6335&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImMTfmJH44AIVUuaaCh2oJgxfEAkYAiABEgLjcPD_BwE this would do the trick though you’d need a DI too. When you use only one input both channels can be used so you could have two separate EQ’s dialled in. I too have found this to be an issue - most two channel preamps are not really true two channel as the second channel often has less EQ control / is for distortion etc etc. Very frustrating!
  11. Fantastic comms and pedal turned up in less than 24hrs. That’s serious customer service! Highly recommend
  12. I suspect that really you’re looking for a small sample pad rather than a looper pedal? Doesn’t sound from your description that you want to record bass loops on the fly and play over them but rather trigger other pre-recorded samples?
  13. Bunch of pedals that I'm now not using and need to free up some cash to buy a second bass cab. Priced to sell but happy to entertain trades too. Add £5 for delivery. Copilot Cubic 8ver (some cosmetic damage but works fine) - £100 3 Leaf Audio Wonderlove - £150 Moeer Slow Machine (boxed as new, used once, not to my liking) - £40 Boss CS3 - some knocks but fine - £40 Enigma Q Balls (with box, some knocks, works great) - £100 EHX Micropog- some knocks (maybe a box somewhere) - SOLD Thanks Dodge
  14. Very cool! And totally my experience too with pretty much the same pedal. I wanted a volume control so could balance the inputs and didn’t need the fx buffer to be switchable. Quick discussion - adjustments noted - final price = same! I love it and all for £85. Go BOP!!! Another very happy customer!
  15. As most have said on this thread you really don’t need to (unless you have a specific musical / personal reason) mic a cab. Much better to use a DI box that you know and love (e.g Sansamp or similar) or buy as Matt mentioned a valve preamp or head that doesn’t need a speaker load (e.g. Pft20). It’s here where it comes down to personal taste....a valve head / DI will give you a certain sound (fairly retro and warm), more modern DI’s perhaps cleaner and drier. Depends what you are recording / the sound you are aiming for. I record a range of styles so I use the valve head for dirtier warmer recordings and a different DI for cleaner more modern recordings. I should note at this point that I do a fair bit of recording at distance for various producers using only a DI and I’ve never had anyone complain / moan. I use a mic on my upright bass but never on electric. Even in pro studios in tends to be DI only (again have done a fair bit of this). Hope that helps. Ian
  16. Me too. It means especially if you’re tourIng you can get the sound of the bass to the sound man and then tweakk the onstage sound as you need. Also means if you have awful backline as sometime happens you still know you’ve got a good sound going out FOH. And of course if it’s getting recorded as well you can rest assured it’s a good sound
  17. Definitely not less than £200 for the OC2? Just double checking.
