You have to buy a subscription or pay a per item fee to advertise in the 'sell anything' forum, but any logged-in member can view it.

Hi everyone, This discussion left us with a lot to think about. These items won't show unless you're signed in. There will be some minor changes to the Terms and Conditions to allow these changes to be managed in the event of misuse of the marketplace. You can see the new Rule 16 here: http://basschat.co.u...tion=boardrules At first the only option to pay will be through PayPal (you don't have to have a PayPal account), but by next week we will also use a Worldpay option. Hi all The work to develop the website will continue for the next few days. This is due to an essential restructuring of the marketplace to make the running and improvement of the website viable. There will be an annual subscription required to advertise items over a certain price point in the marketplace - similar to the requirement over at our American friend's website over at TalkBass where you need to be a contributing member to advertise items for sale. This system has worked well for them and has been welcomed by their regular membership. This will be a fairer system than at the moment where the vast majority of advertisers who use Basschat to sell items never contribute a single penny. Whilst our WebDev Geoff implements the changes there may be a few forum downtimes - stay tuned!!

A question via email for your consideration please!

Cheers all - and cheers Jake, I've sent the enquirer your mobile number. -
Hello I wonder if you can help, please. My 11 year old daughter is learning to play the double bass at school. We've bought a 3/4 sized bass for her to practice at home. It's an MB6071 3/4 Chinese-made instrument, made by 'Gear4Music', second hand and well-worn, but the best we could afford. She says it needs restringing, as it doesn't sound the same as the one at school and the strings are bumpy and worn. She also needs some rosin. Please could you recommend some strings and rosin that would be appropriate for her bass? Thanks ever so much. Kind regards, Tiffany=
I'll reply with the 'best' answer! Ta

Once the new classifieds is 100% functional the old marketplace will be retired but existing topics left open for sales to continue.
-
Guys We are still in the process of installing/fixing/de-bugging the marketplace, so at the moment WYSIWYG is a work in progress
-
It's a problem with the uploader causing this - it's on the list of things to pay for to get fixed!
-
Several of the skins have been corrupted, so we just have the one at the moment.
-
Yes, it is a site issue. One of the many things that await the attention of an expert webdev - when we have enough funds to pay for one!
