  1. They are £319 at Andertons, which is shocking as earlier in the year when I bought and returned one they were £220.
  2. I had two of these before. One I sold on here and instantly regretted it so a few months later bought another. Then I returned it to the shop and got my money back as I didn`t really need it. So I found out the other day I`m being made redundant on the 31st of December so happy Christmas! Of course I had to buy one of these amps just to cheer me up. Thanks Stew!
  3. I think the guy in that thread is wrong. As BRX says he used an Ibby and I think he had a Ric as well that he bought but I have never seen him with it. He sold the Ibby to Neil McCormack the writer who he was pals with. He tried to buy it back but NM had butchered it!
  4. I was returning a bass back to a shop and it vanished although Overlands courier had said it was delivered. This went on for a couple of days with Overland dealing with their courier and the shop. They even got the driver to return to the shop and eventually the shop admitted that they had got the bass even though they were adamant for a few days they didn`t. Overland done the chasing and kept me informed with the progress and sorted it out. So although I didn`t use their insurance, they did the leg work and resolved the problem. I have had stuff go missing with UPS and it was a nightmare to get resolved so having someone you can actually speak to is a relief. By the way, I have nowt to do with OE, one of the guys here recommended them to me and I used them lots.
  5. That`s what I have. Great cab and not too big and bulky for a 4 x 10.
  6. If you want insurance that will actually pay out if something goes wrong (some take the money then you find out that they don`t insure musical instruments), then it`s gonna cost. I have used Overland Express on lots of occasions and they are great. You can actually speak to a real person if something does go wrong!
  7. Had this up for sale but I was planning on keeping it but I have another di pedal so back up it goes. As new condition and original box, velcro on the bottom, £83 posted UK mainland.
  8. I bought these from Creeper in March last year. I had the box but it`s gone, no screws or foam with them so £27 delivered to UK.
  9. Got a Squire box, P bass size if anyone needs it. Will keep it for a week and then it`s off to re cycle bin.
  10. In their day, they were an brilliant band. Here is my personal favourite of theirs. RIP Wilko.
  11. Cant be annoyed with moody band mates, it just sucks the life out of it for me.
  12. Much apologies for mis quoting you. I have deleted the quote.
  13. If you reckon they will want you to send it back down to them to do a set up, by the time you do that and pay for the return postage, you would be as well paying for a set up from someone local. Whether you should be doing that in the first place, only you can decide.
  14. This year we got rid of our "Angus" in a acdc band. The guy was just too much work, wanting everything his way, surly always down attitude and he ignored all attempts to contact him. So the rest of the band got together and he got the elbow and now he tells anyone who listens that it`s all our fault. It was quite difficult to replace him but now we have someone who is a super nice guy and it has worked out great. In your situation, for me, his attitude towards the band would be enough to can him and the fact that in this day and age he has no mobile phone, whats that about? I would get together and speak to the rest of the band and if you all feel the same, get shot of him. It might take you some time to find another singer but as my example above, a change can really work out. Life is too short to work with a bell end.
  15. We were doing a charity gig in Ardrossan last Saturday night and as guitar boy had brough his rather fine pa, I decided to make it easy and use my RCF and a couple of pedals. Sounded good and just took 5 mins to set up.
  16. I returned a bass to them about a year ago. I was speaking to the guys in Newcastle and they wanted me to get a courier sorted blah, blah. I said couldn`t I just drop it off at the Glasgow shop? You could do was the reply, so I did. It might have changed now that they are owned by the employees?
  17. I had a 4 string M5 and it was lovely with loads of tonal options. Only moved it on as the shape was too different for me if that makes sense? But well built and not too heavy.
  18. This is a pickup from a MM Sterling bass. The pickup is in working order and was removed from a 2001 model Sterling. There is a bit of wear on the front of the pickup from a previous owner. I swapped the pickup and original pre amp out as the jack socket was starting to misbehave and was so worn, the input cable was almost falling out the jack socket. If you want I will throw in the original pre and you can sort it yourself but bear in mind it may need some work. I have never seen one of these for sale so hopefully have priced the item fairly. Looking for £60 posted to UK.

  20. Nice thought these look, Lobster has just reviewed one and it weighs 10.8 lb`s. Quite a hefty beast and a deal breaker for some I would imagine.
  21. This might be daft or been suggested earlier but can`t you borrow their usual bassist amp to do the gig?
  22. A similar thing happened to me this week. Bought a bass and got the DHL tracking. I realised that no one would be in to accept delivery so chose the "collect from local parcel shop" option. On the morning got a notification that bass was on the van. Got home and got a e mail saying that they couldn`t deliver the bass and contact the supplier. Guessing that the bass had been refused due to the size, I spent 22 mins on the phone to DHL who as soon as they asked me for the tracking number promptly cut me off! After another 35 mins on the phone an operator confirmed that it was too large for the shop and would I like it delivered the next day to my home address. So in the end the guy was really helpful and I got the bass. But the bass arrived with one of the tuner clover stem broke off and lying in the bottom of the gig bag. Don`t know how it happened as the bag showed no sign of damage and the shop are sorting it out for me, so all good.
  23. For sale only a MXR Di +. As new condition and comes with original box which is as new as well. Has Velcro on the bottom and is fitted with a 9 volt battery. Cost me £150 a few months back so looking for £90 posted UK only.
