  1. Had this fine example of a P bass up for sale but no one wants it so I`m gonna part it out. Bass is in vgc, no dents or damage, no fret wear. Postage to UK mainland is included. Body incl bridge, pickup and controls, scratch plate, standard strap buttons - £150 Neck incl tuners - £125
  2. Another + for the Rumble. I had a 500 a few years back and foolishly sold it. It would be ideal if I still had it and used an extension cab to get the full whack from it. I was speaking to a guy the other night who plays the local pub scene around Glasgow with a Rumble 100, more often than not without pa support, easy one hand lift and great sound. Jealous, me???
  3. You`ll rip yer tights!
  4. Just completed a deal with Mick, great guy to deal with. Thanks Gerry
  5. Just completed a sale with Adrian, a pleasure to deal with 👍 Thabks Gerry
  6. Where in rural Scotland are you? Some of us may know of charities or groups looking for gear. Or how about your local high school? I have gave them some unwanted gear in the past and as they have zero cash, they are usually quite happy to accept the stuff.
  7. As there has been zero interest in this fine example of a P bass, I`m going to part it out. £150 body complete £125 neck inc tuners Prices include postage to UK mainland.
  8. Ian bought a neck from me, a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Gerry
  9. And the verdict is in. The Amazon £21 bluetooth headphones, well they sound like a pair of £21 headphones. They are going back.
  10. See it just shows how we all have different views. The headphone cable that was sucked up by the hoover (wasn`t me Guv) were a set of Beats that cost £69. I preferred them to my £150 Audio technica phones and Sennheiser`s that were around the same price as the AT`s. The other 2 were better for listening to music but I always preffered the Beats for bass playing duties. But in the spirit of keeping Big Jeff B in smoking jackets and strawberry bon bon`s, I have ordered a set of the cheapo headphones mentioned earlier in the thread. We will see what happens.
  11. I like the cut of your jib Nah I`m just wanting shot of the stuff. Bridge now sold, neck potentially on hold.
  12. Please note. As stated above, I will not ship these items outside of the UK mainland so please don`t ask.
  13. Perfect timing my good man as the hoover has just ripped the headphone cable apart. 👍
  14. There was never much music in my house and dear daddy was a bit too fond of the old drinky poos and used to listen to James Last and Andy Williams when feeling no pain as they say . Mum didn`t listen to music much but I got a radiogram when my gran died and discovered some 45`s of Cliff and the Shadows. That was me till about 15 when I discovered AC/DC and it`s all been uphill since then. Apart from that, it was mostly TOTP stuff that everyone of my generation watched so all the glam stuff.
  15. EMG Stingray Pickup - £55 EMG MMCS active humbucker pickup. A good replacement for a Sterling SUB bass or similar. The only thing you would need to solder is the positive and negative for the battery. Easy peasy to fit with the on line instructions. Specs below. Wide bobbins combined with a large coil surface provide a rich bass sound, and via the use of EMG's popular ceramic and steel design (CS), the MMCS is a great mix of transparent high-ends with a strong and warm bass 1x 25K volume pot 1x 25 k tone pot 1x battery bus 1x stereo output jack 1x pair of mounting screws 1x pickup cable 2x connecting cables 1x output cable 1x battery cable Colour: black Dimensions: (W x H x D): 63.5 x 19.6 x 48.3 mm
  16. You are of course correct. I will try to get a box together.
  17. Times must be hard at the moment, not a sniff on here or Gumtree. I`ve not even had a scammer on Gumtree asking me to send it to their sister who will pay for it as it`s a pressy for their mom Times are indeed dark.
  18. Plus 1 for Neil. Such a great player.
  19. The courier world is like the wild west. Terrible service and no one gives a toss. I`m looking for a driving job after being made redundant and the amount of courier jobs available is unreal, they are desperate and will take on anyone. If you have a car and a smartphone the likes of Yodel will give you a start. I stay on the ground floor of a tenement and the other day a driver asked my wife if she recognised the name on a parcel. No she replied so the guy just threw the parcel on the stair and walked away. It was for a few closes down and we gave the guy his parcel. And the amount of times I have found a parcel on my doorstep, just left, is unreal. I used to reckon UPS were one of the better ones but I was speaking to a guy I used to work with and he told me he was working with them out of the Gyle depot in Edinburgh at the back end of last year and was under so much pressure to get the job done that if he went to a house and no one was in, he just left the parcel and forged a signature! He left just after Christmas and the households of Edinburgh should breathe a sigh of relief! Good on GAK for sorting out the problem so fast. I imagine they and other large shops have a person whose sole job is to sort out the b*lls up these couriers make
  20. I had a 15" Pro Neo and I wasn`t impressed when used on it`s own, I thought it was gutless. They aren`t worth the money if you buy them new imo. I had a ABM Mini 2 x 10 for a few years and it was far better than the 15 Neo. Having said that, it depends a lot on what type of music you are playing and how loud your band is. I used a MAG 300 head and a Ashdown 15" cab in a pub pop/rock band for a few years and it was fine. Where are you located? Might be someone near who can help you? Or are you in Australia as per your name?
  21. Had this up a few days ago but thought I would give it another go. But it`s not for me, too many tone options and I`m a simple eq man at heart. It`s a great bit of kit, tube drive, tilt, fet and tube volume, effects loop, headphone output and aux in. Loads of stuff if you like to tinker. Will not run on a battery, you will need a power suppl of some kind. Comes with original box with the stickers. VGC but I have removed the small rubber feet to put on velcro to mount on a board. £100 posted UK mainland.
  22. Don`t go breaking my heart by Elton and Kiki. Spent a week in 1976 in a caravan in Anstruther Fife with my auntie and uncle and one of said uncle`s nephew. It seemed to always be on and whenever I here that tune, I`m right back there. Which is a bit of a bugger as the auntie turned out to be a beach queen from hell in later years!
  23. If you tell them and return the item within the time frame above, the law is on your side. Why not phone them to put you at ease and check?
