  1. Bought a tuner pedal from Andy. Exc condition and fast delivery! Thanks Gerry
  2. Bought this from Stingrayboy a couple of weeks back but I`m not gonna use it so just looking to move it on for what I paid for it. Really good condition, no wear anywhere, fitted with a set of flats but I have a set of Fender rounds you can have if you like. It comes with the gig bag it came in which is in good nick but has no shoulder straps. Weight is 4.1 kg or 9 lb`s. As I have no box it`s collection from Paisley or localish meet up.
  3. If you have e mailed Ashdown, Dave is the man to sort you out. He will know the type of speakers used and will tell you what you need if blown. Bought a couple of speakers from them a few years back and they were almost half the price of the same speakers from Blue Arran.
  4. Just looking at the tuners and they say made in W Germany. How quickly we forget that it was 2 separate countries not so long ago. Just guessing but does the serial number mean the 22nd of May 1981?
  5. As new a set of tuners from a Fender Player series, come with bushes and screws. £35 posted UK mainland or £30 collected. Paypal f&f or bank transfer. Ta
  6. Sold John a power amp. Great guy to deal with, no probs whatsoever. Thanks Gerry
  7. Thanks for the replies. I already tried it out and it does work but being in a flat, I can`t give it loads of welly to see how it sounds. It was s a bit of faffing about requiring a Digbeth pre amp, a mic pre amp, bass amp, bass cab, pa cab and lots of cables. Good for killing a couple of hours and no blue smoke which is always a bonus! Too much hassle so I will be popping over to Fife to meet up with DGBass to sort something out.
  8. Just pondering, as you do. Scenario 1 So I plug my amp head into a normal bass cab via the speakon connections. If I take a cable from the send socket on the amp into the powered pa cab, would this allow me to send the amp signal into the active pa cab and let me use the amps eq section? In other words, if I turn up the bass on the amp, would this alter the sound going into the active speaker? Scenario 2 Or keep the normal bass cab plugged in as above but use the amp`s di to send a post signal into the active speaker? I hasten to add I haven`t done this and might never do it as it might be daft / sound crap / blow up me or the kit. Too much time on my hands at the moment!
  9. In a previous version of our band, we did use other people to dep but it wasn`t really the same. Not that we do lots of gigs now but if all members can`t make the gig, we don`t do it.
  10. Not a fan at all of the type of music he does but enjoyed watching that.
  11. Award Session, used them for years. Made to measure in a few days from quality components. https://www.award-session.com/cleartone_cables.php
  12. Just bought a bass from Joel. Really nice bass, exactly as described, fast delivery and great communication. What more can you ask for! I would not hesitate to deal with Joel again. Thanks Gerry
  13. Just sold a pedal to Norm, as above a top man to deal with. Thanks!
  14. Aye this, a Zoom pedal or similar will help him on his way down the worm hole.
  15. RE the way UPS pays their drivers. They aren`t paid per parcel as some do, they are actually one of the better companies. One on my pals started in November last year and the salary was £26k rising to £32k after a certain amount of time so not too shabby pay wise. However that does not detract from them being able to do their job correctly. These type of companies pile so much pressure on their drivers to get the job done with little consideration to getting the job properly. If you look on job sites, there are loads of vacancies for this type of role. I hope that the op`s bass turns up safe and sound.
  16. Our band just got a fb message from the above venue. It looks like a fishing message, sent to loads of bands I expect. I think it was previously called Heart Rocks and there seems to be some moaning about cancelled gigs. Anyone familiar with the place?
  17. Ashdown RM 4 X 10 for sale only. Bought last year, the cab is in VGC, just a couple of small marks on the tollex, 21 kg weight so light for a 4 x 10, 600 watts - 4 ohms, custom made cover by Roqsoid that cost £120 on it`s own, castor wheels with locks fitted for moving easily. Collection from Paisley or localish meet up.
  18. I will check the width later but I don`t think it`s that wide. I`m pretty crap at describing neck sizes but it`s similar in feel to a Player P bass I owned. Edit. I think the nut width is 41mm? SOLD
