  1. Need some cash, as the other half has bought a sculpture ? Attempts to convince her that bass guitars are "musical sculptures" have failed! Offers considered.
  2. Pics look good to me - stunning bass. GLWTS
  3. Yes indeed - it is 17.35mm but the Schaller bridge is adjustable - I believe you could go a little bit wider or narrower according to preference - maybe from 16.5mm to 18.5mm. Hope that helps. Drop me a PM if you need any more info. Thanks
  4. Weekend bump - only 1 week left - "sensible" offers considered (what does that even mean ??😜). Thanks for watching
  5. Just picked up my Series 2 from Jon. Buckeye Burl top with matching headstock faced front and rear , swamp ash body, maple neck and Birdseye board. Electronics are Aguilar DCBs with the East-UK pre-amp. I didn't want a cluttered rear, so no battery compartment but an active/passive switch on the front. The tonal range is huge. I got this after getting a Shuker 2 years back from Cotswold Bass and knew immediately that I wanted to commission something. Oh, and the rear control panel cover is cut from the body wood rather like Elricks or FBass. All round a stunning piece of work from Jon ? David PS - my existing Burl Maple Horn is up for sale here.
  6. I've owned two of these in recent years, a 4 and a 5 and must say that is the nicest top I've seen. The sound from these basses is awesome! GLWTS 👍
  7. £1,200 inclusive of fully insured shipping within the UK. £1,050 delivered fully insured With considerable reluctance, this lovely Shuker bass is up for sale - I've just taken delivery of a new custom buckeye burl bass from Jon Shuker, and at the same time, a Warwick bass I have always wanted is up for sale here!! So on the "one in one out" principle (being one of the joys of married life !) this one has to go - well probably unless I can pull a rabbit out of the hat. If you're reading this you know all about Jon Shuker's amazing craftmanship and you can see this bass on his website near the bottom of this page: http://www.shukerguitars.co.uk/bassstock.html - 34" scale with 17.5mm string spacing (adjustable) at bridge - Seymour Duncan pickups and EQ with pull/push for "slap" tone - Schaller adjustable bridge and Gotoh tuners - Beautiful 5A Burl Maple top over Alder body and stunning flame maple fingerboard - weighs around 8 1/2 lb, so light for a 5 string Shukerhard casemade by Hiscox. Excellent condition, very well loved and looked after. The tone from the Seymour Duncans is outstanding Drop me a PM if you would like more info/photos. Sale only David
  8. I'm saving all my pennies as quickly as I can 😜👍
  9. Hi - did you do the pickup work yourself and are the connections all soldered or screw fit? Cheers
  10. Whoa! That it fabulous playing and a really tight drum/bass partnership - your band has a great vibe - I'm gonna download the album!! Good luck with the sale - lovely bass 👍👍
  11. That is niiiice! Presume 35" scale like the "regular" Euro Lx models....? Perhaps you could confirm the weight and string spacing on this one please.
  12. Shakaflea (Régis Rostagni) purchased my Maruszczyk Elwood 5a, and his communications were excellent - payment was prompt and we developed a good level of trust. I would commend him to other bass-chatters. Many thanks for your purchase Régis David
  13. Actually I think the JB was replaced with the Votan. The JB is pretty rare in the U.K. especially in 5 string. Very nice basses with fantastic tone! Frans Vollink of "acid" jazz/funk Tristan plays a deluxe version.......
  14. Sold subject to payment. it's off to the South of France! Will be sad to see it go. Thanks for your interest.
  15. Ooooh lovely - would be good to get this beauty in the UK 😜 Any actual current photos of the bsss rather than those from the Warwick site?
  16. Been asked about how "tight" the neck fitting is, so here it is (full flash). Beautiful isn't it !!
  17. Withdrawn-don't want to let this gorgeous bass go for silly money😀. I'm sure the Mrs will be sympathetic to me having two lovely Shukers !
  18. Back to work bump. Lovely light weight, big sounding, beautiful Maruszczyk - bargain compared to new price £1,600 - as new condition yours for £1,200 (ovno) inc padded gig back authenticity certificate, invoices etc.
