  1. I don't recall signing the scratch-plate for you !! 😅 Lots of bass for the money GLWTS & have a bump on me !
  2. Ha ha - very amusing! I'm surprised this is still here at this price. I have a lovely Shuker myself and the standard of the craftsmanship is top notch - easily on a par with other "boutique" basses. Someone is surely going to get a bargain here.
  3. Hmm - not really my kind of music but that video is amazing and the bass playing impressive! GLWTS 👍
  4. Oh yes the back - sorry - birds eye maple high gloss antique tobacco stain. hard to tell the sound on s Phil Jones Double 4! I’ll know on Thursday at rehearsal! Yep I love a bit of Zebrano too !
  5. Not sure if I am in the right thread but here is my new (8 year old) arrival ! All working nicely except the treble control on the stacked bass/treble push/pull for split coil mode control rotates 360 degrees - hmmm! (And yes the Allen grub screw is tight)
  6. Fluffo (Mark) bought my Jackson bass off me, and was great to deal with - very smooth transaction. Thanks Mark and hope you enjoy it. Cheers Dave
  7. Super-quick and rightly so - lovely bass !
  8. Ha, ha - thanks! Its actually a surprisingly good all-rounder, and you can dial in something akin to a nice jazz or funk sound which is quite amusing given the dramatic shape of it !
  9. So I bought this lovely bass as a back up for some gigs I was doing over Easter just in case I had a problem with my main and then only, bass (a Shuker - yes stupid to think there would be a problem). Of course it was not used, and has been hanging on the wall ever since, having been played at rehearsals once or twice only. So it is genuinely in "as new" condition, and they retail for around £480. It has a lovely translucent black quilted maple top over a basswood body, so it isn't too heavy. (about 3.8kg) String spacing at the bridge is a comfy 18mm. The manufacturers spec appears below. And yes, it is a neck-thru bass, not to be confused with the cheaper bolt-ons. I've got a Fender Jazz on the way as a replacement back-up, so "one in, one out" I am in Essex and work in London. Check out my feedback. Prefer not to post, although I do have the original box. I can supply it in an old but serviceable gig bag. 10. Yes, Denis advertises his basses widely across Europe & USA. I've had some correspondence with him, and he seems a top bloke based out of Barcelona. You can find out a bit more about him if you look at his Warwick Infinity post, where I believe he was a Warwick basses endorsee......
  11. Charlie is one of the most talented bassists/writers around imo - just listen to the Powafunk album to hear it - maybe some of the “magic” will rub off!! 😎
  12. Very nice - what would the string spacing at the bridge be on this one? thanks
  13. And this one much much nicer imo 😎 GLWTS ps - who on earth pays £15k for a bass?!!!
  14. Very very nice playing 👍👍 GLWTS.
  15. Wow. That Atelier bass sounds fab - nice and punchy, while being super-smooth!! Great playing! GLWTS 👍
  16. String spacing definitely 19mm? only some Sadowskys seem to be produced at 17.5mm (total width at bridge 70mm). beautiful instrument !
  17. I can also vouch for the super quality of Jon Shuker's work, plus he is a great bloke. I had a Series 2 (fretted) custom made with Buckeye Burl top, East EQ etc and I don't think your budget would be a barrier. There would doubtless be some lead time though as Jon's reputation is growing quickly!
  18. I had a 5 string version of this - they are very nice guitars and extremely well put together. Nice price! GLWTS.
  19. An absolute beauty! Shame I’m full on my 5ers! GLWTS
  20. Just beautiful GLWTS!
  21. Hi - is this a 4 or 8 ohm version? Thanks
  22. Just "wow"!! Where is three and a half grand when you need it. I'd even give up my 19mm string spacing aversion for this. Great, great bass - GLWTS!
