  1. Interesting what you say about notes sounding out of tune! I had exactly that a few weeks back when multiple notes sounded off (yes I had checked the tuning twice!) - so much so that I had to play from looking at the fret position to be confident I was playing the right notes ! (yeah intonation was spot on too when checking at home!)
  2. I left my KZs at church - don't suppose anyone can let me know the diameter for the Tree buds? Or even better post a link !!! There's a good chance I'll get them for next Sunday.
  3. Thanks very much for this - really useful. Yes, I had noticed when pushing the "stock" silicone tips in or holding my finger on the the bass really comes out - I've tried foam before but couldn't get on with it so I'll try Luke's "Christmas tree" suggestion!!
  4. So we had our big Christmas service yesterday pm and during the pre service rehearsal it was impossible to hear my bass though my IEM I think because everything else, including choir, drums, electric, acoustic, keys were so loud in front of house. i ended up borrowing a cheap pair of closed cup over ear headphones, which worked well although I looked a bit stupid !! I think IEMs have their limitations unless you've for custom moulds for your own ears? I'm using the KSZ10 or something like that!!
  5. Hi Arnoldo Lovely bass - could you advise the weight please? I presume the string spacing is the usual Sadowsky 19mm? Thanks David
  6. Holy Forever and Make Room are particularly favourites of mine! We did "Mary did you know?" as a choir piece last Christmas and I used the Moog Little Phatty for that one. We're also doing "Angels we have heard on high" modelled on the Planetshakers live version which is a cracking Christmas song!
  7. Nice playing in the video - love that slap break !!
  8. Oh dear oh dear oh dear - can I possibly justify a 3rd Spector. Please tell me it weights at least 10lbs ?!! 😂
  9. Really nice and underrated basses. Unusual to find the PJ combination on a 5 string too. GLWTS
  10. Like others, I've used the free OnSong for many years and it works just fine for me. You can download songs from other sources although sometimes some downloads don't allow the ability to transpose. Our church has a shared library of songs on DropBox which you can download into OnSong from.
  11. For quite a while it was in person but then flipped to Zoom during Covid and then continued that way. Ian is a super busy guy as you can imagine so I think online is probably the only way - you should reach out to him and see. As @Killerfridge said, he's well set up for online and has a great technique for that 👍🏻👍🏻
  12. Yeah this was great - I was lucky enough to have lessons from Ian over a few years and it was an amazing experience. I miss those times ! He is just an all round great guy! thanks for posting the vid
  13. So I've used my Moog Little Phatty several times in church, most often at the bigger events like Christmas or Easter when there are some "performance" songs. It sounds awesome (imo 😂😂). (But you do have to make sure the keys player leaves you the bandwidth...)
  14. These are quite rare even when fretted so I think you are right. I suspect many potential buyers will want to know the weight so you might add that to your post. Beautiful piece of Warwick craftsmanship 👍🏻 GLWTS
  15. Yeah you need to persevere! I've played 5s exclusively for decades and they're ideally suited to contemporary Christian music, but don't overdo the low B, C, D ! With good IEM you should be able to hear all the low notes clearly. Never come across a song with a walking bass line in church - what was that then?
  16. Looks and sounds good Trevor - nice one 👍🏻
  17. Your logic is impeccable 😂😂
  18. That is just lovely !! Never seen a top like that on an Overwater. How much does it weigh as I suspect potential buyers may be interested in that. Presume it's the usual 35" scale. GLWTS
  19. Whoa!! Nice collection 👍🏻
  20. 😂😂 Been there, done that, and managed to track it down and buy it back!! (an NS5H2)
  21. Just WOW !! GLWTS 👍🏻
  22. Ooh I say !!! that is so tempting !!! How much does it weigh though? thanks
  23. Dang !! Only got 4 strings!! Beautiful bass and they have a unique sound as well as look (speaking as the past owner of a 5er). GLWTS
  24. Oceans - one of my all time favourites! Also did L&L last week!
