1. I have a bad case of PE. (Penniless envy). Penniless I said!
2. Hey, you are on the road to getting fixed. That can only be a good thing.
3. http://www.pen.io I haven't used it but it looks like a quick way to get a page up. Just did use it. Supersimple and works a treat.
4. Whaddya gonna call it then, Ivor? ;-)
5. My, this thread is old. No matter. I used a hohner jack when I played in an industrial rock band ( we never would have used that term to describe ourselves though.) so....a jazz then?!?
6. The vintage look is in then. Can I have one in purple with yellow polka dots?
7. Indeed. Me too. (I thought you'd misspelt Planxty though. ;-)
8. ooooh, have tickets booked. Can't wait.
9. Farty badger with biscuit tin reverb. THAT is the tone I am (not) after. I bet those pups are very expensive.
10. Hope it all gets sorted out for you. Rest up and no more playing, eh?
11. One down, many more to go. Rockin' daddio.
12. You are gonna be as high as a kite on adrenaline after your gig. Enjoy it man. One, choo, free, fowah!
13. I just got the joyo version the other day, used it at practice last night. Absolute bargain for the money IMO.
14. I love my B3. Dead easy to program and some great sounds available. Patch Presets- some good but most ropey at best. Some gave me a good idea as to what I could do with some tweaking. Still only a white belt at B3-fu.
15.
I have the Artec in mine and it sound great. I bought mine broken though, so I cant compare it tot the stock sound.
Mine hasn't worked in 20 yrs....I'm in the same boat!
16. Hamfist-bass plays passive so I assume the pups are passive. I don't think that 2 pot model would work for me without drilling more holes ? Rather not do that, though. Ta for the quick reply. Off for more research.
17. I have been wanting new electronics in my jack. The artec se2-a looks like a like for like replacement but then I saw this... http://www.thomann.de/gb/emg_btc_control_2band_eq_1poti.htm Since the pups are emg, does anyone know if this would be a suitable replacement for the stacked pot already on the bass or do I need to go the whole hog and buy something different, am I barking up the wrong tree with this idea? I hasten to add that this is a GAS remedy as it will definitely stop me from buying a bass. Honest.
18. Poor and want. Not a good place to be. Like this bass a lot.
