1. Plater in Newtownabbey just off Ballyhenry road, or there used to be. One or two larger operations were in Mallusk Industrial Estate. Milty restrain your inner culchie! ;-)
2. Sad to hear this. Used to listen to Quiet Revolution a lot. Must dig it out again. Man, so young.
3.
I'm sure my old Marlin Sidewinder had this configuration
It did. I still have mine. Pity they are crap.
4. +1 for interparcel. Used them recently, price was reasonable and contents undamaged. England to NI. Would use them again.
5. Dissolution still gives me goosebumps. Love ' em.
6. Squealing beedfack etc
7. I cancelled an order with a German company for one of these as they hadn't got it in stock. Ended up with with two genz 12s. Those Eden cabs still look the dogs though... As in all things......timing. Bump for the hell of it.
8. At first glance I thought the first pic was a cake. That is pretty nice, man. How does it play etc?
9. I bought a Vintage AV4 off Duncan the other day. Great communication and all sorted as smooth as butter. I have a new bass now!
10. Hmm, yeah. I played a hohner jack (the paler wood version) and the guitar player had a bubblegum pink jackson or charvel. We played what was termed "heavy metal on drugs". I was in my early twenties. No black guitars helped us stand out visually.
11. My two 112s sound awsome to my ears. Bargains indeed.
12. I had the same conundrum. I made my own since I couldn't find one to buy. Wiring a speakon cable is like wiring a 13amp plug, kind of. No soldering required. Jamming two leads into one plug is an awkward bugger though. Using a knife to widen the aperture and judicious use of electrical tape worked a treat. I will investigate a neater version but for now it works great.
13. Hi. I joined in July, I think and I'm still reading.........
14. Bad show on the band, man. I have lived in a rural town now for 12 years. Deadsville, plenty of rednecks listenin' to cheesy dance on commercial radio though. The old postcard up in the music shop/ record shop used to work in the 80s in Belfast. God, I feel old. Any similar scenarios you could use? There's a jam session on a Thursday night in Antrim at Clotworthy House at Antrim Castle Gardens. £2 per night and keeps yer chops up for playing with other people. They are on Facebook as MADD Enterprises Ltd.
15. Go on. Do it. Let us know where you are gigging. I might be able to go.
16. Veleno made solid aluminium guitars (including the neck). That double bass looks great. I'm not saying its name though...
