Compressed digital audio files will never sound brilliant compared with uncompressed digital audio or an analogue source. Digital camera sensors now surpass film for dynamic range. It is truly marvellous. I shot transparency film for many years, 5 stop range maximum. I now have much more than that and if I had the money and upgraded to "medium format digital" it gets even better.

Apart from realising that I can only spell the shortened form- porn, I think that a slow pulsing light inside the case- very bright so that it leaks out of the case at the height of the pulse would be what I would want in a custom valve amp. Maybe when I win the lotto. Can't wait to hear it, man.
